  1. Thanks, Pat !
  2. Thanks, JT ! 'Thank you lBill - the Monogram has a narrow track and looks a little bit too high in its stance, but maybe this is correct for the stock version. I built the racing version more or less out of the box and swapped wheels/tires. Thank, Carl ! Merci beaucoup, Philippe !
  3. Very nice build, Thomas ! Thank God I have at least 3 of these in my stash !
  4. Exactly my words - that rotten, worn-out look: very realistic!
  5. Thank you, Don. The stance is like it was out of the box: I built the Petty racecar minus rollcage and made a wheel swap - that's it!
  6. Very nice, Patrick!
  7. Thank you. Larry !
  8. Tomasz, once again an outstanding model from you - excellent weathering! The cockpit and the engine are works of art - you can almost smell the oil and gasoline....
  9. Thanks, Steve !
  10. Al, this might be the case here (another continent !), but several times I have made the experience that sellers ship to foreign countries when you ask them if they are willing to do so, even if at first they say they won't. Just ask - it will only cost a few seconds of time...
  11. Excellent, Anders - with your trade-mark glass-smooth paint !
  12. Great model, Pat - I can almost hear Steve McQueen roaring around the corner witch screeching tires...
  13. Thanks, Michelle ! Thank you, Ricky ! Thanks, Craig !
  14. When was the last time you saw 20 Hubley kits at the same time? A German ebayer has them for sale - my question: which one is recommended? Link here: https://www.ebay.de/sch/m.html?item=373586779483&_ssn=nanno1511&_osacat=0&_odkw=&_from=R40&_trksid=p2046732.m570.l1313&_nkw=hubley&_sacat=0
  15. Thank you Rich - I know its shortcomings: it should have a vinyl roof and it still sports the racing exhaust.
  16. Thanks, Anders, I tried to look them a little better - at the moment, I have 56 unbuilt Ferrari kits in my stash, among them from Italeri 4 x 250 SWB, 3 x 250 California spider, 2 x 250 GTO and from Fujimi, Gunze and Revell (Protar reissue) each 1 GTO - some will be used as donor kits for the following transkits: 250 GT Breadvan, 250 GT sperimentale, 330 LMB and 1964 250 GTO... I think I woll sell off the newer ones and stay focused on the classics.
  17. Another old 80's build: JoHan's Petty Superbird - wheels from the parts box, kit decals (no Superbird logos back then), red and black from rattle cans, trim painted with Humbrol silver.
  18. Thanks Bill, I will replace the foiled bumpers of the yellow version with parts from the Italeri kit (built as a racer, this will nood no bumpers)
  19. x 2: Exactly, Douglas - I wish this kit would be available today.
  20. Very nice, Brian - I especially like the freshly painted over dump body with its numerous dents and bumps !
  21. Fantastic model, Bill - I never would have the patience nor the ability to go that deep into detailing - super!
  22. I meant of course RHD !
  23. Thanks, JT - I used mainly Humbrol paints back then, but as they are hardly available here today, the majority of my paints are Revell.
