  1. Thanks, Chris! Thanks, David - I appreciate that (it is certainly one of my better trucks)
  2. x 2 ! Well done model, Teijo !
  3. Thank you, Tom!
  4. Looks great Andy, especially for your first truck (if my first one would have looked even half as good...)
  5. Thank you, Rex - it should indeed represent something like a T/A racer, even one class below. I wanted to keep it in a monochrome paint scheme then and sold it off with more than 70 other builts in the last couple of months..
  6. Awesome fire engine, Charles - looks great!
  7. Thank you, Chris!
  8. Thank you, Larry! Thanks, Andy! Thanks, André! Thank you, Gareth - that was rather easy - everyone can do this, it is really quite simple.
  9. Thank you, David!
  10. Back in 1985, I bought amt's Mach 1 and turned it into some kind of low-level racer using decals from different kits. It was a real "quickie-project" - I don't think it took more than 10 or 12 hrs. - the interior and bottom got a silver spray paint using car rim silver (directly on the bare plastic - which works great), the yellow moulded body and wheels were simply clear-coated - that was it! Pic of kit found on the internet:
  11. As several of my dream cars have become available as 1/24 die-casts within the last 10 years, there are still some gaps that I would like to see closed: USA: 60's Jeep Gladiator P/U, 1958 Ford, 1959 Pontiac UK: Ford Lotus Cortina Mk I, MGA, Triumph TR4, Austin/Morris 1100/1300 Sweden: Volvo 122 S, Volvo PV 544 Italy: Ferrari 250 GT/L (Berlinetta Lusso), Lamborghini Espada (1st series), Lancia Aurelia B 20 Coupé, Fiat Dino Spider and Coupé, Fiat 8 V and 2300 S, Alfa Romeo Junior Zagato and 1750 GTV, Maserati Ghibli, DeTomaso Mangusta Germany: Mercedes 230 SL and 220 SEb Coupé, BMW 3,0 CS All I have to do is dream...
  12. Super, David - this is my favourite JoHan kit (has also been my first) - I have built the same back in `83 - I think it is one of the sharpest looking mopars of that era.
  13. Thanks, Teijo! Danke sehr - I'm glad you like it, Michael! Thank you, Anders - but all my builts are far away from yours!
  14. Thanks Jay, today this one could bring really some money if I had left it untouched, but I found the green rather ugly back then (and still do)...
  15. Fantastic build, Steve - you are always amazing me with your attention to the finest details - I would never have the patience for this.
  16. Thanks, Charlie!
  17. I have a JoHan '68 Imperial promo which I got from a penpal in the U.S. I repainted it, but left the interior widely untouched: the whole model was molded in a "Popeye spinach-green (see interior color), only the vinyl part of the roof was semi-matte black.
  18. Thank you Gareth, the wheels came from the parts box, and the colors were leftover rattle cans. I've been inspired for the side-stripe by the picture on the kit box - and then I used that paint for the roof also...
  19. Thanks, David! Thanks, Josh - I like the body style of this Dodge, too.
  20. Thanks, Bob - I wanted to keep mostly stock with a decent street machine look (wheels/tires) Thanks, Chris!
  21. Thank you, Carl!
  22. Thanks, Francis, every now and then you have to re-glue fallen-off pieces...
  23. Unfortunately, the scale is indeed far off (about 1:20 to 1:21) and the proportions, too (either too wide or too short) - anyway, I bought myself one and intend to convert it into John Fitzpatrick's Broadspeed Anglia, winner of the 1966 British Touring Car Championship (dark red/marroon with silver roof) - picture found on the internet
