  1. Indeed Shay. I agree Dann Esci did some great subjects/kits, with a little help they can be a nice model.
  2. Good stuff Scott, thanks for sharing.
  3. Written with her husband Elvis Costello.
  4. There is a good story about Ford trying to convince the SCCA that the inline carburetor was a regular production item as they wanted to use it in Trans-Am on the Mustang - their ruse didn't work and it was never approved by SCCA.

    Very nice Hugh.
  6. Haven't seen this build in person but this 1:8 scale Porsche 935/78 sets the bar pretty darn high. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1075623
  7. Thanks for you comments and tips Mike.
  8. Thanks Scott. Thanks Carl. Much like your builds Kurt just chip away at it, improving it bit by bit.
  9. Thanks Trevor I thought you might like this build Shay. Not going to the level of my RS1800 build but we will make some improvements.
  10. Created a recess in the firewall to allow for some engine set-back.
  11. The intake trumpets are in the upper right corner: Removed the debris cap and drilled them out.
  12. The kit header is that crab looking think above the pulleys on the tree. My take:
  13. Taking on building this old Esci kit and will be making some improvements along the way. The drive belt is molded as a single piece. After some careful cutting and filing I opened it up.
  14. I have the Revell La Ferrari and it looks like a nice kit. I'm not likely to build it, if you are interested in a trade let me know.
  15. Replica & Miniatures makes a very nice distributor that is pre-drilled and molded in color.
  16. Here is a link to an amazing scratch built Porsche 935/78 in 1:8 scale using styrene for the chassis. I think styrene will support the model's weight unless your are using a significant amount of metal parts i.e as the basis for your engine. The Firebird looks great! http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1075623
  17. Never built one (or even own one) but from what I've seen it's very hard to improve on what MFH kits give you in the box.
