  1. Exhaust fits up nice and tight as does the skip plate.
  2. I was fully expecting to need to scratch-build the roll cage but to my surprise the kit cage fits nicely. My technique of using liquefied styrene as weld for joints is more obvious on the black plastic. Made cups to accept the feet and more securely attach the cage. Filled the roll cage mounting pin holes in the chassis as they would not be present on the 1:1
  3. Thank you gentlemen. I enjoy sharing my projects glad to have you guys checking in.
  4. Sorry Richard about the Motorsport Modeling forum and unfortunately I don't have a paint source recommendation. I have yet to build one the Shelby Team's '65 season Cobras when they switched to Guardsman Blue. Just wanted to share the most authentic reference I know of for Guardsman Blue.
  5. Added adjustment nut detail to the tops of the struts and axle nut detail to front hub.
  6. Nice looking build Tim.
  7. Glad you started a thread on this build, look forward to seeing more of your work.
  8. Created a channel for the tail pipes. Not how Fiat did it but had the get the exhaust and the lowered rear suspension to coexist. Also made cups to accept and positively locate the top of the struts.
  9. They are closed here too Shay.
  10. YouTube has a translator but it came up with some very interesting translations during the film.
  11. Thanks Dann. I got the exhaust system completed last night but didn't get a chance to take photos. I'll post some later today.
  12. Thanks Shay. Found this film I assume Fiat made of them developing the 131 Abarth (I can't read Italian). I enjoyed it, you might too.
  13. Chassis mods look good. Don't care for those wheels.
  14. Great to see her standing on her own - quite the looker!
  15. Unrestored FIA Cobra CSX2345 in Guardsman Blue. Car behind it is Ken Miles' roadster in Viking (Princess) Blue. https://shelbyamericancollection.org/cars/1964-fia-cobra-roadster-csx2345/
  16. Great start Tom.
  17. Boom box perhaps?
  18. Is this what you are talking about?
  19. Maybe this?
  20. Tamiya and Hasegawa both did a full detail Nissan R89C Hasegawa also issued a version of the kit with the engine parts cast in metals. I have this version in the stash. I might be convinced to part with it for a fair offer.
