  1. Top 10 Qualifying Shootout. Fast forward to 13.30. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbgHTw9bguU
  2. Awesome to see a few MkII Escorts and Falcon GTs still competing in the support races.
  3. I for one would appreciate a side by side comparison. I would like to do a T/A race Cuda at some point and I need some schooling.
  4. He had been doing some rallying after his accident. Check out this intense onboard.
  5. Very nice.
  6. I think you can handle this Steve. I'm taking notes.
  7. I rarely build anything that requires a licenses plate so I am happy to finally get to use at least (1). I am going to stick one on the back of my trailer.
  8. Facebook Messenger Pinterest Email print comment Ex-Formula One driver Robert Kubica will make his Le Mans 24 Hours debut and compete in the World Endurance Championship with the ByKolles privateer LMP1 team in 2017. The former BMW and Renault F1 driver will make his full-time return to circuit racing following a series of one-off sportscar endurance outings in GT machinery, including the Dubai 24 Hour in January, the 12 Hours of Mugello, a Renault Sport Trophy round at Spa and the 6 Hours of Rome at Vallelunga. Kubica tested ByKolles' CLM P1/01 car last November during the WEC rookie test at Bahrain, setting quicker lap times than the Austrian outfit's regular drivers achieved throughout the race weekend. "After my time in rally I've been looking for something as close to Formula One as possible," the 32-year-old Pole said. "This is exactly what I've found in LMP1. At the end of last year's WEC season, I was able to do my first laps behind the wheel of the CLM P1/01. "I felt comfortable in the car very quickly and was able to increase my pace accordingly. With even more experience I'm sure I will be able to extract more performance. I'm already very much looking forward to the Prologue in Monza and the season start in Silverstone." The 2008 Canadian Grand Prix winner's promising F1 career was brought to a sudden halt ahead of the 2011 season when he suffered severe injuries to his arm, leg and hand in a near-fatal crash during an off-season rally event in Italy. Kubica made a remarkable recovery from his injuries and contested in the World Rally Championship between 2013 and 2016, before switching his attentions to a return to circuit racing. Eleven-time F1 grand prix winner Rubens Barrichello will also make his Le Mans 24 Hours debut this year, partnering 1988 race winner Jan Lammers at the Racing Team Netherlands LMP2 squad. 2014 WEC champion and former Red Bull F1 driver Mark Webber has been appointed Grand Marshal for the 85th 24 Hours of Le Mans. The Australian finished second at the event in 2015 during his title-winning LMP1 campaign with Porsche and will be responsible for launching this year's race on June 17
  9. Thanks for the heads up Dale.
  10. Excellent work David. Sexy aggressive car too.
  11. The '57 wagon certainly is an option Andy-thanks. And a 60s look is exactly what I am trying to achieve.
  12. There where several different versions of the Esci kit. The kits where the same except for decals and of course one had the body molded in clear plastic. The Zakspeed kit was a touring car and had a slightly different body style.
  13. Thanks Shay. I have a Transit van on order maybe that is what will pull this thing. I want to build a Ranchero at some point, not sure it could handle a loaded trailer though.
  14. Agreed the Hasegawa/Revell is a much better kit. And if you want the ultimate Stratos get the Fujimi EM.
  15. With about a year's worth of effort and some nice Fireball Modelworks wheels/tires the Esci Escort can be made to look like this.
  16. I salute your color choice.
  17. Turned out nice.
  18. Yep peel & stick. The adhesive now though is pretty dried out.
  19. Thanks Jeff-glad you like it. Current mock-up.
  20. Yea I loved the catalog! Growing up in rural PA there were no hobby shops. I would go through every page of the catalog over and over marking the kits or slot cars I wanted. After I saved up enough lawn mowing money I would send off an order and count the days until it would arrive.
  21. I've had these in my collection a long time - and no I did not by them new. I'm old but not quite that old. Thought I would share a photo of them with you. Pretty darn cool I think.
  22. I thought the kit part tail-light housings are a bit too thick so a fabricated something more to scale.
