  1. Brian I sent him the entire kit. The way I assembled it it was easy from him to take apart and cast. Look at the kit below and you will see what I mean.
  2. Another excellent build Jurgen.
  3. It is possible after all the AM Coupe is the kit HRM started with to create the trans-kit but is is no easy conversion. Have you seen all that's included in HRM kit?

Thanks for all the comments gentlemen. It's difficult to get a good picture of the engine on the completed build so I have added an engine shot from the progress photos.
  6. I'm very proud of the kit and hope it does well for Brad. I hope you like it too Bob.
  7. MIke, HRM has just begun casting so please give him time to get all the parts cast to create complete kits. This kit wasn't even fully cured when the photo was taken.
  8. A photo of the resin kit are posted here.
  9. I have edited my original post to now show the final version of the kit. It is intended as a trans-kit with any Fujimi Enthusiast Porsche 911 kit providing the remaining parts. If you are interested in the kit please contact Historic Racing Miniatures at: historicracingminiatures@comcast.net

Thanks Ron. I really enjoyed researching and building this car I hope to get back to building the 914/6 GT very soon.
  11. 10,000 man-hours to create the carbon fiber/aluminum honeycomb monocoque alone. Engine will produce 130,000 HP! Check out more here.
  12. I'm not suggesting the guy should take the car street racing. And I don't deny the guy has every right to pay as much money as he cares to to own it but when objects become so valuable that they can no longer be enjoyed as they were intended then what’s the point? What good is a Stradivarius if all we can do is look at it in glass case and not enjoy it's beautiful tone. What good is the Mona Lisa if no one can admire the texture of the brush strokes or colors of the piece. What good is a car if you can't revel in the exhaust note, feel the power of it's engine, carve through a turn, enjoy the experience it was created to provide. When cars and in particular muscle cars become nothing more than bars of gold then what's the point.
  13. It will never be driven. It will be delivered by some exclusive motor carrier to the guys $5M climate controlled garage and become a museum piece until he tires of it or determines he can get sufficient return on his investment to sell it to some other museum collector.
  14. Talked to the resin caster this afternoon, he has begun casting parts! I will post pictures as soon as I get my hands on them.

  16. Okay so he was transferred to another hospital (closer to his home) and not actually released. Again with all the secrecy (?).
  17. Schumacher has left the hospital and he is no longer in a coma.
  18. Up early to watch the finish. Go Porsche!
  19. Looks like Formula Haas is going to be a Ferrari customer team.
  20. Very nice Mark. I need to check out these BELKITS.
  21. Here are the reshaped air extractor outlets (on the left). The old version is on the right. Here is the 1:1 for reference:
  22. I tried to convince myself the cast in air extractor opening would be close enough but I just can't live with that. So I am in the process of reshaping these opening to better represent the '65 Le Mans car. The opening should by an equilateral right triangle with the leading edge extending forward past the top edge of the head lights. Of course this means also rebuilding the air extractor - sigh. Pictures soon.
  23. Mike, the only 1/24 scale DFV I can think of is in Fujimi's Dome-O kit. It's a very nice one however.
  24. A Ford DFV would certainly be an interesting choice, what kit would you pluck that from?
  25. Forza Rossa has been named the 2nd new F1 team. Headed by Romania’s Ferrari Importer, they have chosen to run Renault “power units”. I’ll bet Montezemolo loves that!
