Hey guys! Showed this last night at the Milwaukee NNL.......pictures were taken by the other mag (which was in attendance.) Windows were a BIG p.i.t.a. to get installed...(glad that is over!) Good daylight today so took a small photoshoot.... Enjoy!

Absolutely gorgeous model Paul. Wonderful work!!

I really love what you are doing here Matt! A suggestion for the rear quarters would be to try out Apoxie Sculpt by Aves. I use it for all my cut and splice projects.......Bondo has the tendency to shrink and crack on plastic. Apoxie Sculpt doesn't shrink and does not leave separation lines and you can shape it like clay with water. Hardens solid after 24 hours. You can find it on Ebay or Amazon to name a few. Also, if you want to strengthen the insides of the rear quarters try using some toilet paper cut to size and soak it with CA glue......this creates an almost fiberglassed joint on the inside and makes the panel VERY ridgid!

Excellent Jim. We are happy to have you guys here!! Looking forward to the show myself! -
Thank you Michael. I agree with you, at swap meets I search out kits like the Alumacoupe, Smoothster, and so on more for their parts to incorporate into future builds but it would be nice to see subjects like the "Hemisphere" and some of the newer vehicles at the World of Wheels shows and Detroit Autorama.

Took pics last night......but it was dark outside so the artificial light made it look just like the above pics. In the right ambient light you can REALLY see the Pearl pink in the roof and the top of the beltline. I will try to get some shots in outside ambient light after work......depending on what time I get out.

Alright guys, I went at it tonight after work and wetsanded the roof down to feather out the darn dot. After wetsanding, I shot the roof edges in Black Pearl and buried all the burn through, next I shot over the Black Pearl with a nice misting of Pink Pearl, then I Kandied over the whole roof with Kandy Pink, and finally buried it all under 3 more coats of Lacquer Clearcoat........looks pretty darn good now! No pics until tomorrow though.......I want it all to dry thoroughly before going near it again!! Thanks for following!!

Thanks guys! The dot is the one you can see above the C pillar in the pics.......it is near the edge. After some thought though, I could do a two tone....like a darker roof or something.

Today was the day for mockup of all parts and paint. Paint turned out a little darker than I anticipated (which happens sometimes....) it is a deep Kandy Apple Red with a slight Cranberry juice look to it. It will work.........not flawless though .....2nd to last step of paint before clear something contacted the roof and took out a small dot of paint. I am thinking about making a vinyl top for it to cover this mistake. (thoughts and ideas of how to accomplish this will be very appreciated!) Don't worry, I am taking deep breaths........7 step paint processes are like birthing something (not a child of course!) Here are some pics of what it looks like with a flash. (MAN! Photobucket is slow lately!)
