Started this build by cutting up the front section of an Alumacoupe.......cut and matched-in the grille sections of the Smoothster.....added the roof from the Lil Coffin (thanks to Dr. Kerry my good friend).....some wheels/tires from a Jada Corvette.....and a lot of time, Apoxiesculpt, and sanding. The hood was probably one of the biggest hurdles to cover......I wanted the front end to look like a pair of open wings......achieved this by splitting the side grilles down the middle with the hood (the front section of the hood turned down area was taken from the original trunk lid from the Alumacoupe.) This will be a curbside build that will put focus on paint and mostly design. The paint will be a bright orange base with a gold pearl over it, followed by Kandy Pink, Kandy Violet and finally bury it all under a deep coat of clear. In the right light you will see the orange coming thru that awesome Violet/Pink Koolaide looking paint! If all goes well, paint will be on Saturday! As always, I appreciate your comments and advice. Enjoy guys!

I will be watching your build of this Allen........I have the old Fujimi version of this car in the stash (yellow plastic) I use to autocross myself with a guy that had a Supercharged MR2. I will be doing my build like his. Looking good.....Keep it going!

Thank you sooo much for the comments and interest guys! I do this stuff for my enjoyment and yours as well! -
Got her done! Many months of fabbing and bashing is completed!! Shifter is milled from 6061 aircraft aluminum and polished, the arm is from the Stoned Hoods and Crooks kit, the engine is from the Snake Army 1/16 funny car, and the original kit was the Polar Lights "Badboy". Woo hoo! ENJOY! My tribute to Ed Roth the master!

how to two tone model cars?
Kennyboy replied to foxbat426's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
This sounds like a decent process to me.......each time the masking is removed, the clear covers the masking line. Good advice Ben. -
Thank Danno! Yep, it is furrin'......only street legal in europe.

Thank you Tomo! What is beautiful is your avatar!!! Although this (AMT) kit exists.....the Tamiya one is FAR superior. Thank you Robert. I would really like to see your interpretation of the kit/car.....I love many versions of this car....from this one to the NEXT version I will do. (I have another one..... )

Thank you Michel! I am glad you like it! Thank you Andre! Love that car by the way......!

Thank you very much Ray!

Thanks Bob! Had to trim 1/8" off of the bottom of the back window (the one in between the engine room and the interior), the tops of the front wheel wells, and a little off of the front tab near the radiator (the one that is about 1 3/4" long that goes into the channel the same length in the chassis pan.) Thanks Kerry! See you at AMG next Friday.

Thank you much Bill! Cheers!

The Tamiya kit is WAY nicer than this one Tom. I really wanted to do it in race car livery but could not find anything suitable. Used lacquer black as a base, then white for the flame base, then Kandy Blue, and finally Kandy Pink.

Thanks Christopher. The way it was turning out all along the way was what kept me going on it.

Thanks Buddy! See you next Friday at AMG Thanks David.
