  1. Thank you again guys! Really appreciate the support. Should be able to just about finish the hood tonight...... .......in the Wanted section I posted that I am looking for this kit in complete form. (AMT/ERTL #8030) Turns out after I started this, I noticed THEN that the kit is missing the whole chassis and driveline! DOH!!
  2. Great job on this Pavel! I also have this kit in the stash.....I love seeing it built in such a clean manner.
  3. Thank you so much to all those who are following this! I really appreciate your support and nice comments! Got the headlights roughed-in which was a little interesting given the shape of the original headlight bucket.....also got the turn signals filled. The 1:1 car has the brake cooling ducts higher up to be even with the center opening......I am reluctant to match this because I dont want to chance ruining the front clip by cutting and sectioning. New pics...... The 1:1 Mine:
  4. If you like the Testarossa, the Monogram edition of it isn't THAT bad.......it does not have brake rotors in the kit and some other detail related items but that would never stop me from getting it. I bought one anyways......besides I think I got my 1/12 Testarossa for $22.00 shipped. WELL worth that price! I do have the 1/12 Protar F40 and that is another story.....more like a toy than anything. The 275 GTB from Revell, stay away from it. Totally wrong on every account! You wont go wrong with Fujimi.......especially the Enthusiast series!
  5. Great job on this Ray!!! ....and building something without instructions and missing parts is one of my norm's....gotten quite used to it!!
  6. Hey thanks guys! This one falls into the category of "Taking a nothing kit that nobody wants and turning it into something." What are people's thoughts on how to finish this? Race? Street? oh, and the turn signals are now gone!
  7. Front turn signals are going away tonight!
  8. Where I am at so far.........
  9. This came to my mind the other day and I just had to build/bash it! Started to gather the pictures and the parts necessary, marked, measured, and began to let the plastic FLY! Started with this: and this: To create this:
  10. Nate, the answer to your issue is to use Bare Metal Foil for your masking. I use it all the time for masking window trim and it works amazing.
  11. If there wasn't anything in the background, I would think that you were building the real car! Details are amazing on this! Outstanding work.
  12. I keep parts/bodies to cut up and add to builds all the time. Currently I am working on a C4 Corvette build/kitbash into a Callaway LM. The C4 body I am using parts of has been sitting in my parts bin for over 15 years.....saw it the other day and decided "Come hell or high water I am using this body for something!"
  13. Right!........ and in between the kits were buckets to catch water from the leaking roof!! Prices are ridiculous and the place is falling apart......but that being said, I would go up there for a sale if the prices were good enough to move things out the door.
  14. So sad!........one of my favorite shops to buy supplies from. (Bought my airbrush compressor from you Michael.) Always a great experience and always found something I was looking for and something I had not thought of. Happy Hobby now too!!! Maybe now that guy will actually sell something......prices were always ridiculous.
  15. WOW! That is awesome Bob!
  16. Years ago, a buddy and I welded a drive gear back together that split in half (!) on a Koehring backhoe. The gear was about 20" in diameter and about 2 inches thick and was split from the hub splines all the way out to the gear teeth. Worked great after it was done......and it was machine cast iron. Had to be done because it was an obsolete part.
  17. So I hope we will be seeing this at the Milwaukee NNL Pat! Great idea and mockup looks VERY solid. Well done sir.
  18. Yep, those are mighty fine figure 8's and crescent's with TIG. Practice will make perfect. I mostly do wirefeed MIG at work (for fabrication purposes) and most have said mine look like "a row of dimes." Strong with DEEP penetration is what I am mostly worried about.
  19. Gerald yours has a Viper front end on it.
  20. CAN'T wait for the I8 BMW and both the variations of the 918 Spyder!!!!!! ALRIGHT!!
  21. Well done Jonathan! Just magnificent!!
  22. Great build Ray! Really turned out nice!!
  23. Thank you Fabrizio! It was always one of my favorites!
