  1. This was a test piece for that paintjob Kerry. GREAT looking color! (Oh yeah, I have your headlights done too.) Thank you Ben and Kevin.
  2. I am pretty sure that Spazstix Chrome is similar to Alclad when it comes to the process of laying it on. You must basecoat with black then mist it on with an airbrush to achieve the proper chrome effect.
  3. Thank you guys! Got some more work done on it......Wetsanded two more times over two days, basecoated white lacquer, dusted with HOK Silver Pearl (with gold pearl mixed in), and shot with three layers of clearcoat. Tomorrow will be wetsand again down to 12000 grit and then polish. Thank goodness it is Pearl White now!! Couldn't get the pearl to "pop" on camera due to no ambient light (night time shots) but you kinda get the idea. Looks awesome in person!
  4. Like Jason said Tim, Google Chrome. Chrome seems to be the key for these issues. Ever since I went to Chrome, no more problems! Looking forward to seeing your progress on that beautiful Daytona Bob!
  5. Nice job Bruce! Very clean looking builds! I love the Duesenberg!!
  6. For years (and many cars) I always wanted to build one of my 1:1 cars.......this year got a Tamiya S2000 kit to build like one of my favorite 1:1's!
  7. Thanks guys! I am glad you enjoyed the builds!.....and special thanks to those who followed along with the WIP's.

  13. Thanks Kerry! Gonna have to work on the arm this weekend I think! Thank you Steven! It is a lot of fun doing one of these....you get to make your own rules!!
  14. I wont make the Early Bird deadline Bob....but I will be done before March for sure!
  15. You are right about the windshield frame Erik, the darn frame broke free from the driver top corner at least 14 times after being glued! It is only 1/8" thick of styrene!!! Thank you very much for your comments.
  16. Thank you William for the nice words. Would love to see your completed model! I started with the non-race version. The one with the silver car on the box art.

  21. Oh ok, no I just usually put up the kit subject I am obsessing over at the time as my avatar. Would be cool though!
  22. Thanks John. No, I wish I did though! I like many different subjects....you know less mainstream, this fit that perfectly!
