Love what you are doing here Mike!
I had a Copenhagen blue 85 944 1:1 years ago, you are absolutely right when you say that those pieces will be seen under the hood.
Keep up the great work on this!
Spray your surface offwhite (or white) if you want, while the paint is wet sprinkle evenly seasalt from Petco or the like over it and allow paint to dry. When paint is dry, shake off the excess salt.
Now you have actual salt for your salt flats.
Thanks guys! I really do appreciate the support! Will have another update soon.
-Got the front bumper/grilles completely built and mudded in to match up to the body
-The ZR1 taillights are matched into the rear
-Almost done with the hood (it has vents in it that match the vents on the side.)
-All of the vents (both hood and sides) will be done in hi-def carbon fiber to match the 1:1
Getting ever closer to the paint phase.......
I have a 54 gallon bowfront corner. Has been up and running for years now. I have African cichlids in it.......several varieties. I built the stand for it out of oak, it has an Eheim canister filter system in the stand and I am running a 72 LED strip light from Beamworks on top. Will post pics soon.
Got some of the body mods done/almost done:
Cut out sides on both sides of the car to remove the old curved body line, then added sheet styrene and thin aluminum sheet for the "gills"
