  1. Very nice Jonathan!
  2. Thanks guys!
  3. I have been thinking I could probably just make some pieces out of clear sprue, shape them and with micro drill put a series of small holes that would go only partways thru the backside of the clear piece and paint the holes chrome, and then cut into the bumper ends and smooth them in. Should look like a bank of LED lights (not going to make light up ones.....I'm not that good.) Thanks Carl, just could not see the build with the atrocious looking wheels of the 1:1
  4. Thanks! Saw that one on Ebay......looks a little rough and high mileage.
  5. Thank you everyone for the kind comments.
  6. Hey Kerry, I may be able to make this one. I could bring a few models along to show (including my 1/12 Super Snake.)
  7. I built this for my wife. She absolutely loved this paint color on the 1:1 cars, but also loves the convertible stangs, sooooo I combined them to this build. The wheels/brakes are from Fujimi from a long time ago, paint is HOK Cyan to Purple flip flop. This sat in the stash half built for around 15 years til I pulled it out recently and finished it. Enjoy!
  8. Thanks Kerry. Noticed that yesterday too....guess I was so busy getting it built I did not notice til the end. When I get the ends done (one is almost there) I will most likely make the decision then if I will round them off.
  9. Wow white is a hard color to keep clean during a build. This truck looks great! Now you have a hauler for one of your other super clean builds!
  10. A real museum masterpiece! Just beautiful!
  11. Looks good so far Keone. Keep going you are going to love what this kit turns into!
  12. So clean Andy. A real beauty! I love me some Silvia's!
  13. Great color James, wheels set it off nicely!
  14. Great suggestion Mike! I do plan on having it look like the 1:1 finish on the front end. Still not sure on the LED turn signals....maybe?.
  15. UPDATE: Decided to do the 1:1 front end afterall.... scratchbuilt a center grille insert and massaged the front bumper to fit and removed and cleaned up the bumper ends. The 1:1 for reference
  16. Very nicely done!
  17. The finished product of this is amazing Mitchell!! Great job at detailing....the build is a true work of art!
  18. Thanks a lot Mike Thanks, good point on the exhaust. Was so busy working on other steps forgot to do that before painting.
  19. Ok Jeremy. I will stop hijacking your thread and wait patiently to see updates. Wheels would be an easy mod for the Protar hub, (they slide on to the shaft and get screwed on with the knockoff covering the screw.)
  20. You can almost see the flames shooting out from under that rear bumper. Sweet!!
  21. UPDATE: Painted the chassis and exhaust, fitted the front wheels and brakes, and tested the ride height/stance.
  22. Thanks for the feedback. LOVE the Enkei's! How much do the 3d printed wheels go for? The kit wheels do not fit the kit's Pirelli tires quite right (too narrow, too small in diameter, and two piece.) Also the molding of the F40 wheels is somewhat poor and with all the detail in them you cannot sand and clean them up.
  23. Jeremy, I will be interested to see how you do the OZ wheels for the transkit. I want to go to them for my Protar 1/12 F40 build (since no one wants to trade for it.) Was thinking of going this route (racecar) with it when I re-open it seeing the body proportions/tire size on it are very close to 1:1 just needs proper details. I really like the direction you are going with your build! Great work as always my friend!
  24. Excellent Tom! I also employed the toothbrush on the build above.....not as easy to tell though. Your truck looks spot-on with that technique!
