  1. Nice job Oscar I built this model A long time ago in a different livery. I know exactly what you went thru on this build. Miserable fitment! and Juan, The Pescarolo looks awesome!!
  2. Thanks Dan
  3. Well thank you Garry.
  4. Man, I like this Oscar! That looks great! Looks better the way you did the decals.
  5. Thank you Riley.
  6. Thanks Tom.
  7. Thanks guys.
  8. No, I actually lowered the suspension during mockup. I think I cut out around 1/4" maybe a little more. Was pretty easy on this kit, the coil springs in the rear provide ride height so cutting them adjusts it. In the front, you have to notch out the frame and fit the suspension stub into it. Hope that helps Joe.
  9. Thanks Oscar, I guess I am just a perfectionist. Keep it up on the Bimmer.
  10. Thanks Pat !
  11. Just a beautiful job on this Seth. I want one of these kits but my wife would make me get rid of one of my other ones on deck......it will have to wait I guess. Yours is how I would build mine. Love it!
  12. Thanks Seth. It really is a nice kit. No issues whatsoever building it. Very crisp detail with only a few mold lines to clean up.
  13. In Tips and Tricks there are a few walk-thrus on this. Just go to that section, go to the search box and type in "Turbo" or scratchbuilding turbos.
  14. No problem Juan. Glad you are feeling a little better.
  15. And thank you Larry
  16. Thank you fellas! This is my entry to the Revell Gearz contest this year.
  17. Well........I am about halfway done on decals. Really tough stuff! Had to touch one up because the decal solvent weakened it too much. Looks ok I guess.
  18. Ahh I see what you mean Fred. I have probably around 150 pictures to work from on this build. Some of the pictures do indeed show the surface texture but I do not know how I could replicate that look to scale and not have it look "strange." Thinking about it, you could probably get that look by spraying the first heavy coat with too much air pressure, letting it dry then spraying the following coats at the correct pressure. Don't know if I wanna try it though.
  19. Yeah, normally I don't do my panel lines this dark but when I saw how others had built it with the darker lines it just looked right (especially with the decals.) Thanks Richard, I like that look too. Someday I'll probably do the roadcar version too.
  20. Thank you Walter.
  21. Thanks Joseph, I also did not know there were that many of these out there.
  22. The parts I have are from a set that included the Testarossa and the F40. Another member on here (QuickGMC) graciously helped me out with the parts he did not need for his Testarossa. I got the parts for the F40. Some are a little out of scale but that is not a problem because I will trim to fit them. Just bought the 1/12 Testarossa today though, so I will be looking for a full set for it soon.
  23. No problem, I just matched the method that others who built this used. They wont look as dark when almost every square inch is covered with red white and blue decals. Can you tell I am looking forward to the decals?
