Man Tonio, you are the king of imports. Some rare kits in there. You just don't see MR2's anymore (I have the turbo and Supercharger waiting to be built in my stash.)
Looks great so far! Used to have a 1:1 944 that looked just like your model. Wanted to put an LS swap into it......wife said no, car was sold, and we ended up building a house instead.
That is looking beautiful Mitchell! Would love to have this car in my stable. I myself am busy working on a long term project too......the 1/12 Protar F40. You are indeed lucky that your 935 has great detail because mine is an uphill battle for sure! Great job so far, I will be watching this intently.
It is the 1/12 scale Revell GT500. I did a lot of work to it. Scratch built the quarter scoops, hood, brake rotors, brake calipers, and fitted the larger wheels/tires from the R/C world
Thanks to everyone for the compliments and kind words.
Stay tuned in Big Boyz......I started my next project.
A 1/12 scale Protar F40 that I have been sitting on for the last 22 years.
Yes it is my own mixture to achieve Kona Blue. Base coat was GM Dk Blue Met. with HOK Majik Blue over it followed by 4 coats of clear. Wetsanded and rubbed out.
Thanks, used BMF for the masking.
It is finally done. Thank you to those that have followed the build of this and given praise and encouragement along the way.
Now to find something I can display it in......it is rather large
It is great to see there are young people out there that are still willing to do something fun and constructive with their time. You are a very talented model builder Andrew like many here have said. Keep up the awesome level of work and most of all, have fun doing it and spending time with your stepdad.
Hey thanks Ray.
I appreciate your honesty. The 1:1 Super Snake has 20" wheels so that is why I went with something so large. Thanks for the compliment on the hood.
Almost done. Need to paint the mirrors and install and that is it. Work has been demanding lately to say the least.
A friend took some pictures of it on Sunday and I figured I would share them.
Thank you Gary. Sure, I used Duplicolor Perfect Match auto paint GM dark blue met. for the base, HOK Majik Blue pearl for the overlay and 4 coats of Rustoleum Lacquer clear (decanted and airbrushed.)
