Thanks Juan! There. Painted the window black trim. Was masked using BMF and then airbrushed with satin black. Pretty much ready for all the decals now.

1/12 FERRARI F40 by Protar FULL DETAIL BUILD! (UPDATE 1-22-14)
Kennyboy replied to Kennyboy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Hey Fred, I plan on painting the car Yellow. Red is too overdone. I also had the opportunity to check one out close up when I was autocrossing. A local guy would bring his F40 out to play. That really sucks Cameron! I am also 6' 3" and about 200 lbs. My favorite as well. -

My daughter (11 years old) stated the other day that she wanted to build another model with me. She and I did the Enzo not too long ago and she said she was ready to do another. I of course, was happy to jump on the opportunity again so I set out to find the next "build." She is not quite ready for the full kits, so we found another Snaptite model. The Revell Corvette coupe. It was a beat up box/missing instructions but sealed kit for sale on evilbay. I told her " You have a few days until it gets here, you should try and figure out what color you want to do it." She responded with "How about black with black wheels and satin black hood/roof/trunk with a red pinstripe?" I almost fell to the floor and cried........excellent taste, a murdered out Corvette! Take that Barbie! It will have the new ZR1 bigs and littles with the ZR1 brakes. She hand picked them from the parts bin. That's my girl!! Cant wait to get started. Will post it up when we get going.

1/12 FERRARI F40 by Protar FULL DETAIL BUILD! (UPDATE 1-22-14)

Made some new pedals. The old ones from the kit were molded backwards Yeah the accelerator was next to the clutch pedal. Cut pedals off and started over. Old vs. new (note the wonderful mold quality): -
Wow Tomo, that is really looking great! You are getting better and better each model you do. I do enjoy seeing the progress on all of these builds. Thanks for the tip Jonathan, I'll look for wheels today before work.
