  1. Thats one crazy cool looking bus !
  2. Awesome work on this build Art !
  3. Small update, I'm in the process of reworking the front bumper that will be painted the same color as the body, got the gas, clutch and brake pedals painted and also have the Nos bottle painted. Worked on some speakers that will be installed in the interior & have them painted & also have gotten the starter painted & will install soon. I also have found a electric fan in the extra parts box & also have made modifications to it so it installs smoothly & have it painted but will still need some black wash paint to detail it then add the wiring to it.
  4. Very impressive work with the brass Art ! and I'm sure this build will be amazing when it is finished.
  5. Here are the pictures of the Detail Master racing steering wheel that I have assembled & my first attempt at scratch building a hinge for the trunk. I still need to clean up the area where I have attached the sleeves to the underside of the trunk for the hinge and then I will paint the underside of the trunk before I airbrush the color of the outside of the trunk plus I have filled in the rear bottom of the valance where the factory exhaust was suppose to be run out the back. Thats all for now but more updates will be coming soon !
  6. Another small update & pictures will be coming soon ! Started cleaning up the flash on the front end parts & did not realize how much time it really takes to clean up these little parts but it will be well worth it in the end. I also took a stab at assembling a Detail Master racing wheel that I had in my parts stash which took a little bit longer than I thought it would since it fought me a little going together but looks ok. So till next time Keep On Building !
  7. A little bench time this evening which I have finished the hinge for the trunk & I have scribed the door panel lines also & did a little sanding on the body to knock down some of the little imperfections from the primer.
  8. Thank you for the kind words Carl ! And a small update. I had to add a brace in front of the radiator support for the custom grill I will be installing & I also started to fill in the openings in the rear roll pan where the factory exhaust was to be installed.
  9. Thank you Art ! The build is coming together slowly but surely.
  10. Here is a small update on the Shelby. I have finished scratch building the coil supports & have them painted as well as the coils themselves & I have mocked up the rear suspension on where it will be located as well as where the coil supports will be attached. So next on the build will be to scratch build the front & rear caliper brackets & scratch build a hinge for the rear trunk which this will be my first attempt at scratch building a hinge. I will also get a game plan together to lay out where the brake lines will be located and scratch build the hard line fittings. Thank you all for following me on this build !
  11. Here are the finished six piston brake calipers which i have scratch built for the brake rotors, two sets one for the front & for the rear.
  12. Right On ! Bang Your Head !
  13. Little more progress which is that I have finished up the scratch building the front brake calipers so next will be to clean them up a bit and shoot some primer on them and then shoot some color on them. I have also just about finished up the fitting of the rear trunk to the body with some sanding & filler so I think one more little session of sanding & primer then I should be ready to lay down some color finally. Before the color though I almost forgot that I need to hinge the rear trunk lid which this will be my first attempt of a hinged trunk lid.
  14. Ran into a little snag on the fit of this kit which is the fit of the rear trunk lid to the body and I noticed that the bottom of the trunk lid is not flush to the body & over hangs a bit so I will have a little body work to do on the trunk lid. This will be a easy fix but will set me back a bit today but I rather have this corrected now then notice it later after it is already painted. I have also started on another set of brake calipers for the front rotors that I should be able to finish up today also. Will post pictures hopefully later on today.
  15. Looks Awesome ! Nice clean build.
  16. Finally have the rear brake calipers shaped and painted so now I have to scratch build the front brake calipers. They don't look that great but I guess they will do.
  17. Was able to see this build in person Sat at the Canoga High Car & NNL Show & its just insane ! and the detail is just impeccable ! Awesome build John & it was good to see you my friend.
  18. Finally have a little time to work on the brake rotors & calipers tonight & I will post pictures soon.
  19. I think the count on the entries was around 200 cars.
