  1. Well my awesome beautiful wife wanted to surprise me this year for Christmas but was not sure that I would be happy with her decision on the gift she wanted to get for me so she let the cat out of the bag last night which was trading in my 08 Harley Rocker C for the 2014 Street Glide Special ! Of course she confided in my best friend that I ride with & he said to go for it ! so she set it all up with the Harley Dealer but was still concerned that I would be upset if the Rocker C was gone .But my wife remembered me saying to her that on the long rides it was killing my back and especially this past year to Bike Fest in Vegas was really hard on the back big time and I'm not getting younger so I would mention it once in awhile to her that it would be nice to get on a touring bike to ride in more comfort and pain free. I have been looking to get a touring bike so tomorrow we will be going to the Harley Dealer to finish up the paper work on the new bike. Yes I will miss the Rocker but now I will be riding in comfort & style for many miles to come with the latest bells & whistles on the Street Glide & hopefully finally get my awesome wife on the bike also. Merry Christmas Everyone !!!
  2. Nice Pics !
  3. Looking Good Art !
  4. I 'am personally impressed with Johns amazing building skills and the one off subjects he builds & I have had the pleasure to meet him at quit a few shows these past couple of years as I started back in this hobby after being absent for some 20 years from building. As far as the belt & cog go so what yes it is noticeable when someone points it out but why dwell on it let it go. He is an amazing talent and he has helped this hobby grow enormously in more ways than one and is an inspiration to me as a builder to push me to try more advanced techniques while building my next subject and this hobby needs builders like John. Rock On John !
  5. Thank you guys for the tips on the harness ideas. I found a couple of things at Joanna's today which may work for my application and they are Jewelry Designer Leather Cord in 2mm & 1mm. Going to try these when I start to work on the engine bay of my Resto Modded 67 Shelby with the 2010 Super Charged engine that is on the Work Bench.
  6. Small update with photos, Finished up the battery cables & ends and now they are attached to the battery & battery installed to the scratch built battery box which will placed and secured in the trunk. I have also finished up the electric fan assembly with the wiring and attached the electric fan to the radiator. Next will be attaching fuel line to the Nos bottle and the fittings & installing the Nos bottle. Thanks for looking !
  7. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can use to simulate the cover for the wiring harness that is in scale ? (1/24 scale ) Working on the engine harness for a 2010 Super Charged Coyote engine. Going to go to Michaels today to see if I can find something that will work but thought I would ask anyway. Thank You
  8. You can't forget the guys that drive the Nitro burning Top Fuel & Funny Cars , these cars are now generating 10,000 Hp and I bet that is a lot to handle even though they drive in a straight line its got to be brutal to handle.
  9. Small update, I have finished the battery cables & have installed the cable ends, I was not happy with the color of the scratch built battery box so that got repainted today & also painted the radiator in aluminum so next will be to install the electric fan to the radiator & later this evening install the battery cables to the battery & battery to battery box as long as it is dry from the repaint today. Will try to get some updated pictures up this evening.
  10. Small update, I have the battery box & hold down painted & cleared & battery painted. Next will be to add the battery posts , battery cable ends & battery cables to the battery. I also have the brake booster installed to the firewall & have the brake master painted in detail & drilled for the brake lines.
  11. Looks awesome ! I have that kit on my build list.
  12. Small update, Battery tray & battery hold down finished so next will be shooting them with some primer & also shooting some primer on the battery then start on the battery cables and ends. I also have the fire wall painted as well as the brake booster and brake master. Thanks for looking !
  13. Small update, Since I really don't have to much room in the engine bay I decided to move the battery to the trunk so I decided to scratch build the battery tray which is done so next I will work on scratch building the battery hold down. Paul the carpet is flocking & I wanted to use embossing powder but had no luck finding it in a tan color or brown color. Thanks for looking !
  14. Thank you John ! I'm hoping to get this build finished for the NNL in Santa Clara in Jan.
  15. Small update, Was able to get most of the interior done so this is just a mock up of it & not glued in yet since I still have to assemble a pair of seat belts & assemble the rest of the Nos bottle & also add the hard line to the Nos bottle. Was not to happy with the way the flocking came out but it will have to do for now. Thanks for looking !
  16. Green Hornet Person Of Interest Biker Build Off Rides
  17. Small update, I was able to get the dash gauge decals applied & get some finishing touch's done on the interior. It looks like I will be scratch building some brackets for the NOS bottle since I don't really care for the photo etch bracket parts so that is what I'll tackle next.
  18. All I can say is Wow !
  19. Paint Looks Awesome
  20. Small update, Decals applied on the painted NOS bottle & cleared today and I will add the knob, brackets & braided line after the clear has cured & I also worked on detailing the dash & will share pictures of the dash when It is finished. Thanks for looking !
  21. Small update, I have applied the NOS decal to the bottle so I will let it cure over night then tomorrow shoot a little clear over it. I also started the detail on the dash & door panels & center console with some brown to simulate wood & leather but not sure how it will turn out but I'm hoping for the best. Will have pictures up soon.
  22. Thank you Art ! Well tonight I will apply the decals to the NOS Bottle since I got them in the mail today & I must say Ted's Modeling Market Place has very good service & I would recommend them to everyone.
  23. This is just amazing craftsmanship !
  24. Another little update, Started flocking the interior today which it doesn't look to good since I'm only doing the areas that will be seen & I also started detailing the dash so when I get the decals I ordered all I will have to do is install the decals & also started working on the shifter install.
