Awesome Build ! I have this kit to build but when I'm not sure yet.

Sounds like this is another good show that I would like to attend so hopefully next year I can arrange my schedule to possible make it. I know the GSL is right around the corner also which this is on the top of my bucket list but I would like to get a few more builds under my belt before I make plans to attend the show.

Small Update Everyone, I have added the stripes which I decided on the silver instead of the white and I have laid down the first couple of coats of clear on them unfortunately your unable to see the first coat of clear which was the pearl clear. I will lay the paint on the body when I'm satisfied on how the engine will be placed in engine bay & the other components that will also be in the engine bay do to mocking it up with the body on the chassie . Was able to shoot the clear on the hood at lunch today so hopefully tomorrow I ill be able to get some pictures of the hood & trunk and post them up. Thanks For Looking

Small Update, I wanted to see how the stripes would look on the car so i have applied the decals to the trunk lid & hood and now I will lay a few coats of clear on them tomorrow then shoot some pictures of them & post them to give you all a taste of how she will look with the strips. Joe, I don't remember where I ordered the NOS Decals from but all I did was do a search on line and looked at all the sites that came up on the search. If I come across the web site again I'll shoot you a message.

Small update everyone, I have laid down the paint on the rear trunk & the hood of the Shelby and the color I chose was Flame Red with a few coats of Clear Pearl over the Red. The next step will to be to lay down the white stripes then lay down a few coats of clear on top of that to finish it off. The pictures really do not show the Pearl very well but it really pops in the sun.

Well Gent's I have finally decided on a color which will be flame red with pearl so as soon as the trunk is dry I will post a picture of it.I have made some progress on her which I had to re make the the front grill & a bottom grill which originally was one piece but is now two separate pieces, I have also halved some old rims to install on the front & rear wheels and also test fitted the brake rotors and brake calipers to make sure they had clearance from the rims, so now I will scratch build the mounting brackets so the brake calipers will have a place to mount to. Thats all for now !

Ok small update on the Shelby which is after getting the roof panel painted I mocked up the interior which fit fine but the hinged trunk was fighting me a bit so I ended up redoing the hinge but it took me five tries to finally get it right. So now the trunk opens & closes freely and the hinge is glued in place and now I will let the glue dry over night.The next thing I will address is working on finishing up the engine and start working on the exhaust system from the headers on back. Thank you guys for the kind comments ! Art the embossing powder is not painted & the color of the powder is Champagne. I was looking for a bit darker color but was not able to find it in a darker color so this is what I ended up using which I think it came out looking pretty good.

Hello, I have finally had a little time to get some pictures of the Shelby's work in progress. These are just mock up photo's after I shot the inside of the roof panel with some color to match the interior plus a shot of the inside of the trunk which I have also applied embossing powder to the trunk floor.
