My other Hobby is Road Pirates MC & customizing my 08 Harley Rocker C & listening to Heavy Metal music while I'm building scale cars in the garage. Got my tickets to see Black Sabbath in Sept !

Dug this out of the garage the other day. I built this Pro Street style which it is tubbed with a big block & was built in 98 or 97. Added roll bar, tach, hood scope & braided coolant hoses and plug wires. Paint is not that good on this and is a lttle thick on the hood. Will be redoing this build sometime in the future.

Hmmmm Heres an idea ! how about Revell doing a series for instance Grave Yard Cars or lets say all the Pontiac GTOs or Troy Trepanier series.

Ordered these about three months ago & they where in the mailbox today.

Cleaned the body & wet sanded & have it primer now ! Has a few areas that need a a little body filler so I may do that later this evening as long as the primer is dry which it should since I use the Tamiya primer.

Grew up on the Metal of the eighties & hitting 50 in june & still banging my Head ! Can't wait for the new Black Sabbath album & hopefully they tour the states.

Used Dot 3 & since the paint was still pretty fresh I only left it in the fluid for about 24hrs & every once in awhile I would take a tooth brush & hit the small nooks & crannies to dig out the loose paint. If its paint thats already gassed out & cured I usually would leave the body in for a couple of days. Hope this helps!

Thank You ! My issue was just not being careful & taking my time with it. So last night I took a little break from the Lambo & the Hemi Dart (It's in Final assembly) and was searching some pictures of the Aventador and came across a Super Charger that can be purchased for the Aventador so It got me thinking (Scary !) so I may give it a go to scratch build one for my build since there is not much engine detail to this kit.

John when you shoot the Alclad do you clear it afterwords ? and if so what kind of clear?

Well I have a set back on this build. Had laid the paint on then after it dried sanded out some small blemishes and taped off areas to be reshot then while removing tape touched area that was reshot & messed it up so now I'm striping the body in brake fluid. Disappointing but just have to move on and be just a little more patient.

Well got the windows installed tonight and test fitted to see if anything needed to be adjusted and of course the distributor was pushing up the hood. Did not think that it would since it was the correct distributor. Looked at it a little better and noticed the spark plug wire boots that I installed on the distributor where the problem so I just notched the hood some so now the hood sets flush. Test fitted before painting and did not notice this issue before so its another lesson learned.

Bare Metal Foil Done.

Got the bare metal foil on tonight.

Thank You all For the Great Reply's ! Going to try & get a few builds done this year for the NNL West Show in 2014 ! It was an awesome show this year & was me first year attending.

Well I have finished polishing out the body & hood today so maybe tomorrow afternoon or evening I can start final assembly.

I recently picked up this kit but not sure when I will get to building it yet. But what I see here is awesome! Still kicking around ideas on how I want to build it.
