Thanks for the info. I dont want to hijack this thread, but would it not be illegal to cast this engine?

Very nice work. -
Looks sweet, love the flames. I bet the Revell kit is much better then the AMT.

Not pull thru carb, but the idea was for the charged air to mix with the carb fuel/air to mix in the plenum. Some pictures from today. More fiddle to be done. I will have to try make two distributors, also the blow-off is a joke lol

Yes exactly. I really like the 18"-19" wheels on the car that was on the picture. Those wheels would go nice on many classic Ford models,Mustang,Torino,Cobra and so on. If you decide to sell kits with no engine there are many nice options on the aftermarket. I wish there excisted any 1:24/25 scale DFV Cosworth. Great progress btw.

Thanks for the suggestion and comments. Been fondling with this,v12 flathead supercharged and two Webers. I`ll get it painted tomorrow, then make the brakets for the supercharger, wire and plumb a little, and the new alternator position. Also i have to extend the manifoil on both sides.

Big thanks to JC Reckner aka afx for a great international trade.

When people leave out other manufactures, like this is a problem only GM deal with,it looks like demonizing.

Here is another recall from Ford, may12. 594,785 2013-'14 Ford Escape and C-Max vehicles because errors in the programming software may result in a delayed deployment of the side curtain airbag. http://www.edmunds.com/car-news/2013-14-ford-escape-c-max-recalled-for-possible-airbag-deployment-delay.html If this is a thread about GM only i apologize. I just find demonizing a brand/corp ignorant when it happens to so many.

Looks really good. Completely diffrent car with the fat fenders and wheels.
-
Superb job as always. Would be relly cool to make a "stradale" version of this.
-
Nice start. I think this kit is great.

BMF`d. The flames where done using pre-shaped/cut maskingfoil i found on ebay . So i take no credit for masking it lol

I did suspect it and tonight i got it confirmed. The stacks are too tall so they touch the hood. I`m not cutting the hood and the motor is pretty much done,i guess i`ll save it for somthing else. I started an attempt at making a flathead v12 instead. I could have bought one,but it`s 30$,and then there is shipping from AUS. I`ll have some pics later on.

Traded this a while back, was missing wheels other then this nice and complete. The instructions and some other clues i have found makes this an 1986 issue. So there where plenty of pinmarks and other small imperfections to fill and sand. Anyway,i got the idea og this car from a good friend of mine,we where talking about cars, and older BMW models, and he said i always dreamed about a white "sharknose" with more modern wheels on. So this kit came to mind and i ordered some wheels for it,it was nervous they could be to big,but i think they look good. They are replica of BBS LM 19",the lip on the rears are a tiny bit wider then on front, pefect! The paint is Tamiya, also white primer was used. This white color is way more bright white then the "Racing White" wich is kinda cream. I tried detail under the hood a little. Beside the wheels the model is 100% stock, even the ride hight. I`m no huge BMW fanatic myself, but this model for sure would be on my top 5 list of BMW. This is the M model with the 286hp straight six out of the legendary BMW M1,wich also found it`s way into the 5 series (e28) aka M5. Ok,enough chit chat. Btw wheels and tires are from Scale Production.de I have not shown it to him yet,but i hope he will like it. Just needs a little bit of black on the side window molding first. Here are some pictures.

Ford recalls 850050 models because of safety issues. http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/1409-ford-recalls-850050-models-including-c-max-fusion-escape/

Little bit of progress on this. Go fast parts recived, also done bmf and interior. Not the most exciting inside. I cut the hornring off the steering wheel, cut the pedals so it`s only got two, this is an atutomatic so no clutch.

If i only knew when i did my GTO. That grill looks awsome with the photoetch part and open headlights.

Chrome Spray Paint Comparison
om617 replied to om617's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There where plenty of hits when i searced the little while i have been on this forum. Sadly i did not find anything but personal anecdotes and those dont do anything for me. No actual picture or video comparison where found, maby i`m just really bad at searching? I dont know. -
I admire the patience you must have to pull off this kind of paint job. It looks fantastic.
