Aoshima Countach and Aventador for 2015
om617 replied to martinfan5's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Meh! Should tool up an nice Espada instead -
Did some BMF today and detail painted the wheels. The "28" behind the Z should be white, getting on it. Have cut the spindles to correct the bad stance on the car. I consider give this a front spoiler and skip the one on the trunk. Hope it gets warm enough to get on painting the engine.

77-80 Impala/Caprice coupe. Pretty sure those who are into low riders and donks would love to see this too. -

Thank you for the suggestions David. I`m not really sure i`m there yet as for constructing them from scratch. The headers i`m searching are going on a 32 Highboy with no fenders or panels wich usually covers the engine on the sides. -
This is awsome!

Wow lot of attention to detail, great job. I tried to fix up one of these but it`s merely a joke compared to this. -
Thanks James,Mike and Monty. Turned the valve covers around, not sure how that could go wrong. The paint is Tamiya TS30 with one coat of TS13 clear.

Always impressive to watch the attention to detail. Great work. -
Fantastic looking engine. Did you put decals on the ignition wire or are they like that? Looks really realistic.
-
Thank you. The only thing i had to do was to drill the hole in the oilpan a tiny bit bigger, then it slip right in there.
-
Great work and attention to detail. That carbon in the engine room is a great idea.

Really cool custom you got going. Bet the color is going to look amazing with clear on.

Hello. After little building because of weather i decided it was time to get going again. I thought i`d give this old Camaro a chance. It is molded in "lovely" orange and have tons of flash, but after some clean up,fitting and mock-up it is starting to look like a car. Still have the dead cow in trunk stance,i think it`s mostly because i have not glued the body to the chasis yet,but i`ll get on it. The wheels are sleeves from Pegasus with inserted original Rallye wheels. The engine who follow the kit was a joke. I had a spare 427 from the 67 Impala SS who got it`s home in this one,and it fit pretty good. I will also try use the plumbing from the Impala, and i found a period correct brake booster on Ebay, not to be found in the kit. Color and clear are from Tamiya. I thought i`l let it rest over night before i start fondle with BMF. This is the kit. Here is where i am at now. Thanks for looking.

which is the bigget debate
om617 replied to mnwildpunk's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I dont know how good the north american models was, what i do know is Chrysler made a lot of crappy cars that was sold here in europe. Many of these was more or less chrysler badged french cars. The only bad i remember from GM was the SB diesel imported in most cutlass and caprice wagons. The 6,2 and later 6,5 model, including turbo was pretty good. There was also lots of ford vans with the 7,3,sounded like a stone crusher, but not much trouble. Most american cars form this era had bad lights, poor gas milage and was crude put together, but all in all solid cars. -

Ford from the 30s,40s and late 60s. GM from the 40s,50s,60s and early 70s. (Also the 77-80 Caprice/Impala coupe) Mopar from late 50s,60s and early 70s. GM wins for now,but my passion for new models increase all the time,so who knows in some years. -
If i remember right you might find these wheels in the AMT 70 Impala "SS" kit,the orange car on box with hilborn stacks.
