  1. Happy birthday Old Sprinter. Enjoy your special day.        Tom AKA hack-n-whack

  2. Happy birthday Al. Hope you have many more.    Tom AKA hack-n-whack

  3. Wow! Looks good. A big block car? What scale is it?
  4. Did you try painting the clear plastic with your favorite brand of candy (clear) orange paint? You can vary the tint by using a different amount of coats.
  5. Brutalform, if you don't mind my asking, where did you get that resin body? Who makes it? Thanks for your time & info on this. Hack-n-whack AKA Tom
  6. I would like to see a 1/25th scale 1938 Ford woody. Heck, a '38 anything would float my boat! How about some '20's and '30's GM cars too?
  7. Very nice work! Not an easy front end to work with there.Yours looks really good.
  8. Hi and welcome to this forum Tim. I hope you like it here. There is a wealth of knowledge and modelling know-how here. Enjoy!
  9. That is beautiful. You have excellent scratchbuilding skills. Please keep us posted with more "in progress" pix. Thanks.
  10. Well..... maybe model-kit-builder will figure out that he (or his line of thinking) isn't what this forum is about. He said, a couple of times that we (the members) should leave if we don't agree with him. I think he'll leave after he finds there are no takers here.
  11. It seems to me that you are a tech-savvy 17 yr old kid. By your own admission, you have no interest in nor have you ever built a model. So please enlighten all us who DO have an interest in model cars, not to just "make a buck". Also, how would you pay the writers you hire? I agree with Xingu. You should do some research on the subject. Most people on this site are adults. This is a hobby!
  12. Where's the "y" in rall-ing?
  13. I don't think you're going in the right direction with your "market". All the the info here is free, hence there is no need for it. I for one would not pay for any advice (model related). It's a hobby: Everybody is an individual, with his/her own building skills. You should build a model before you offer any advice about one!
  14. Marvelous models by Marlowe! A well thought out race too. There are no losers here, just beautiful works of art! Bravo!.
  15. Been waiting since I first heard about this kit. The '65 Plymouth was a complete surprise to me! I hope the Comet turns out just as well.
  16. Wow! For a diecast, that is outstanding work. I have one question: When they altered the floorboard/chassis, did the gas tank remain in the stock location? I know some racers moved a moon style tank to the front grille area too. Just curious because I don;t have enough reference material on this. Also, the cars changed rapidly throughout the season as more and better technology became available.
  17. Re: Satellite or Belvedere interior : Moebius has a (nearly) correct factory race-car interior in their Belvedere sedan kit (the one with the red car on the box cover). It still has a deluxe Satillite dashboard. I would much rather remove the excess trim ( radio, heater and glove-box trim ) than try to add it on. I'm not sure if the steering wheel needs modification. Maybe some Mopar expert can chime in and further enlighten us. Also, the dual quad manifold isn't correct for a hemi, but that's nitpicking as it's correct for a wedge motor. While no kit is 100% accurate, I'm glad Moebius kitted it!.
  18. Draggon, you're 1/2 correct. Round 2 re-issued their Willys kit, with both a coupe and pick-up body. Still no '32 Ford sedan.
  19. I got my Melrose Missile from the Modelcave. Thanks Moebius for kitting a series of kits heretofore never done in plastic! I just wish I had more info on MM's interior. I like what they did with their Belvedere kit interior. Did the Melrose Missile have a Satellite or Belvedere interior? I know that I have to make a roll bar too. I agree with vairnut. Moebius does need a deeper box for all those parts.
  20. Welcome to the board! I see from your handle you must have an affinity towards Shelby Cobras. Cool. I bet you can't wait for the upcoming Moebius '65 Comet. You have the perfect reference material.
  21. That's really nice! Were the Fred Cady decals very difficult to work with? Your registration looks perfect.
  22. Nice work so far. I hope you post pix of them when finished.
  23. Looks perfect! Period.
  24. I have a question regarding the Lawman kit. Will the stock spindles be included? Just wondering.
  25. Very nice work so far. I hope you continue to post pix. Can't wait to see it finished!
