    I've got one. I brush my car bodies before I paint them. I also use it on my models right before I photograph them. I'm not sure how to describe it but it is a super light touch. It is not meant to get stuff out of panel lines or something like that. It will take light dust particles off of the surface. Can I say with 100% certainty that you will never get dust in your paint? Nope. Do I think it works for what it is intended for? Yup.

    Wow, thanks, Phil! I have this one, the Tamiya 1:20 and the Tamiya 1:12. My 1:12 is the Honda RA273. I more kits than I’ll ever be able to build but I would love to get these last two built. Thank you, Helmut! I have a feeling yours will be better!

    I take this as high praise coming from someone with your talent! I appreciate it! Thanks for the kind words, Hans! With a name like that, I’ll take it! I need to tackle one of my more modern F1 cars. I have always loved these old cigar cars.

    You are really going to town on this one! I’m still cleaning parts…lol. The rolling chassis is looking good too. Question about your model and I can’t tell from the pictures, do you have a big notch above the headlight on the passenger side fender? Not just a seam line but a big ‘ol step? Mine does.

    Thanks, David! I appreciate it, Bruce! That is the kit decal. Now for full disclosure…lol. There were too many compound curves for that poor little decal. I used setting solutions, heat and patience. In the end it tore a little bit and the very front edge is not perfectly smooth. I used Tamiya Pure Red in their lacquer line. It was just about a perfect match. I should have represented the open scoop but thought to myself, leave well enough alone.

    Thank you, John! It is fun learning about the models we build. We may not have quite the rich histories to learn about as do our military modeler friends but still some pretty cool stories to read about. Thank you, Jim!

    Thank you, Steve. I have liked these cigar cars every since I was a boy. The Honda, Lotus, Eagle and others. I have a 1:12 MFH Eagle that I am dying to build but yet scared to start it. I can’t bear the thought of messing it up. Thanks, Steve! You are right about them being small. I measured this one from nose to rear, not counting the exhaust pipes, and I believe it was around 5 1/2”.

    No, Sir, I don’t. Over on FB I let my friends vote for the kit they wanted to see me build. They had 4 kits to choose from and the picked this one. Most of my updates will be over there so they can follow along.

    Hi, Bob, I have no idea if I still have the instructions or not. I will have to do some digging around for them which would be a weekend project. Although not 100% certain I am thinking they would be the same as the non-Metal Master kit, if that helps.

    This is too cool, James! I literally started this kit yesterday…lol. Everything I’ve read and watched, it appears to be a great kit. I will be following your build, I hope you post regular updates. Good luck with it!

    This is Hasegawa's 1:24 Honda RA272E Formula 1 kit. It represents the 1965 Mexico Grand Prix winner. It is painted in Tamiya's LP-39 Racing White. Nice little kit. Not a ton of detail but what is there went together very well. I photographed it on my normal black base and a gray base. Let me know what you think.

    Love it!! I agree with you about the side skirts, never cared for them. I also agree with you about the livery. Your photos really do the model justice. Thanks for sharing!

    Ohhhhh man, Rich, that thing is gorgeous!!! You did such a nice job on it. I have read that these are some ill fitting kits, or at least they can be. Super nice, buddy!

    That is very cool Benz! I really like some of those older Carrera Panamericana cars. This is such a cool livery. Nice job on it!
