  1. Thank you, John! It is fun learning about the models we build. We may not have quite the rich histories to learn about as do our military modeler friends but still some pretty cool stories to read about. Thank you, Jim!
  2. Wow, James, you are really knocking this one out! She is looking good so far. I’m looking forward to seeing more.
  3. Thank you, Steve. I have liked these cigar cars every since I was a boy. The Honda, Lotus, Eagle and others. I have a 1:12 MFH Eagle that I am dying to build but yet scared to start it. I can’t bear the thought of messing it up. Thanks, Steve! You are right about them being small. I measured this one from nose to rear, not counting the exhaust pipes, and I believe it was around 5 1/2”.
  4. No, Sir, I don’t. Over on FB I let my friends vote for the kit they wanted to see me build. They had 4 kits to choose from and the picked this one. Most of my updates will be over there so they can follow along.
  5. Thank, JC! I have no doubt that your example will turn out better than mine! I appreciate it, Dave.
  6. Hey, Bruce, thanks! Thank you, Rich! It was a fun little project. I enjoy these Hasegawa kits, pretty simple but look good sitting on the shelf.
  7. Hi, Bob, I have no idea if I still have the instructions or not. I will have to do some digging around for them which would be a weekend project. Although not 100% certain I am thinking they would be the same as the non-Metal Master kit, if that helps.
  8. This is too cool, James! I literally started this kit yesterday…lol. Everything I’ve read and watched, it appears to be a great kit. I will be following your build, I hope you post regular updates. Good luck with it!
  9. This is Hasegawa's 1:24 Honda RA272E Formula 1 kit. It represents the 1965 Mexico Grand Prix winner. It is painted in Tamiya's LP-39 Racing White. Nice little kit. Not a ton of detail but what is there went together very well. I photographed it on my normal black base and a gray base. Let me know what you think.
  10. Love it!! I agree with you about the side skirts, never cared for them. I also agree with you about the livery. Your photos really do the model justice. Thanks for sharing!
  11. She’s a beauty, Gavin! You did a wonderful job on it.
  12. Ohhhhh man, Rich, that thing is gorgeous!!! You did such a nice job on it. I have read that these are some ill fitting kits, or at least they can be. Super nice, buddy!
  13. Wow! What a fantastic looking tractor and trailer!
  14. Thanks, Michael! I appreciate the kind words, Tony! Thanks, Pat! That would be so cool to see them run. I’ve watched a few videos on them. Pretty cool cars, IMHO.
  15. Very nice, Rich! I really like the model as well as the real car. Just something about them. Yours is going to look great in that display case.
  16. Thank you, Bruce! I appreciate it! Thanks, Jim! I hear you about the backgrounds. I really like the black for the artsy-fartsy aspect but I like the white for the cleanness.
  17. Thanks, Anton! And thanks for following along over in the WIP thread. I really do appreciate the kind words.
  18. That is very cool Benz! I really like some of those older Carrera Panamericana cars. This is such a cool livery. Nice job on it!
  19. Those are some good looking models, Anton! That Supra is very, very nice!! It just has “the look”. ?
  20. Good Lord they are all fantastic! Congratulations on a productive year! I will chime in with my favorite as well, which is the GTX. That NASCAR really catches my eye too.
  21. Thanks, Chris! Thank you, Larry!
  22. Thank you, Steve! I will be looking forward to seeing yours. I have all but one of these. I forget which one I am missing. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about that diecast chassis plate and I’m still not sure…lol. There is really nothing to see on the underside of these cars anyhow so it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the kind words, Ricky! You and I are on the same page regarding the black base and reflections. It doesn’t work on all of my models but I think It looks pretty cool with this one.
  23. Thanks, Kurt! I am definitely pleased with how it turned out! I appreciate it, Carl!
  24. Thanks, Josh! I think that I agree with you about the backgrounds. I like the black for the artistic qualities. I think the white better captures the true color/hue/tint of the paint.
  25. I appreciate the kind words, Rich! It is such a nice kit. I don’t think I could have screwed it up even if I tried…lol.
