  1. The cinder block I got from a local hobby shop, don't know what he made them from. I actually bought a pack of them for a joke that my wheels was stolen on a diffent model lol
  2. Ronal Turbo!!! Just might have to get a set of those. I used Fujimi Volk mesh on mine but had to shave down the rear and notch all of them to get them to fit.
  3. This is my first time trying a diorama like this. And fairly happy with it, did find out about static grass aftwards though. But may use it later if I do another. Anyways this model turned out this way cause the paint melted the plastic. I wasn't going to give up on it, so I tried my hand at weathering. For the weathering I used my fieancess makeup (She was like what do you need that for lol) and McCormick Pumpkin Spice, plus real engine grime. I did buy the tree, grass and fence ment for train layouts. I aged the fence and the leaves are bits of oregano, the cinder block was made by a local hobby shop.

They are Volk Mesh, Fujimi makes them.

I'm hoping they do a turbo version of it. I'm seeing some things in the kit that show that there will probably be a different take on it later on.

No front bumper is personal preference, some guys run no bumpers on either end.

I used Washi tape for the seats. And still can't believe that people are saying they don't want this model cause of the lack of detail on the door panels.

Thank you. The wheels are Fujimi Volk Mesh. I had to shave down the rear wheels and use the narrower front tires on the rear for them to fit. Although I did have to cut into the tire and wheel to clear the shock. Other things on it are from other kits, front fogs are from the 69 Corvair kit, rear fog is a spotlight from a 40 Ford kit, air dam from a 80s/90s Chevy 1500 trick kit, and rear spoiler is a cut down BMW Alpina e24 part.

Finished up this 2002 today. First time using Tamiya spray paint, and I am impressed with it!
  14. There are very very faint lines on the door panels. Put any paint on them and they will disappear. Eventhough that is one downfall for the kit. I am pleased with the rest even for a curbside. Not to for sure how big this picture is cause I'm using my phone here..
  15. Thank you very much!
  16. I can see how the pictures are bringing out the imperfections. Red showing through on the radiator and airbox. Something I wasn't seeing on the bench. And noted about the seams, a quick pass of sandpaper would make them look better.
  17. I had a 86 Turbo Z C/S pretty much like this one, kind of the base for the color combo I did on this model. I did a built TII swap and was running 15psi. Fun car, but was a money pit to build.
  18. This is an MPC kit. I added a top mount intercooler to the TI, Direct Connection did offer them back when these cars was new. The scoop came with the kit but I cut it down and molded it to the hood. The headlight covers and sunroof I cut from a tinted windshield from a Fujimi BMW e30 kit, the wheels are from a Fujimi BMW e24. The rear window louvers are from a Shelby Charger. I messed up the stripe on the hood, but none of my models are perfect, so I'm not to upset about it lol. Other details I added are flocking for the carpet and plug wires for the engine.
  19. Don't mind at all.
  20. Wish I could remember. Do know it was Duplicolor paint though.
  21. Bring this thread back from the dead. I have finished these last year.
  22. Tried a few shots with a black background. Think this model would be best shot outside.
