  1. Should be a pretty cool custom
  2. That is all thank you
  3. Looks really good. I'd love to get my hands on another of these kits- for a builder's price!
  4. Went to the LHS and picked up a new can of fine primer, some silver, and some more white. Lets give it another shot!
  5. my local hobby shop has sandpapers up to 12000 grit. They're like $3 for a small sheet though.
  6. The weathering looks absolutely SUPERB.
  7. My dyslexia kicked in and I thought it was $1700. REASONABLE price.
  8. Just one question: How am I supposed to read your posts in Colonel Potter's voice when you changed your avatar?
  9. I could see $500. Not almost 2 grand. That's $20/kit... might as well buy new models for that!
  10. This thread makes me wish I hadn't sold all those old slot cars I acquired.
  11. That's the one. I also remember the generic grey version, pretty sure I built it way back when. Got this kit as a gift from my wife's cousin, he saw I was building models and he had it just sitting somewhere at his house.
  12. I like the way you built it, looks cool!
  13. Tamiya kit, right? Looks great. Good to hear it's a good kit.
  14. This is what I'm thinking also. Most electrical equipment has diodes, so that just in case it gets hooked up backwards, it won't work (because otherwise you'd burn it up).
  15. Why, in the name of God, did you mold the 1955 Chevy Stepside Street Machine model in dark purple? I've put 3 coats of Tamiya fine surface white primer, and 2 coats of Tamiya racing white over it, and under the right light it STILL looks purple. Time to buy another can of primer, and white...
  16. That paint is killer, and looks really good on that car.
  17. Wow that paint looks crisp. And man the blurple one is gorgeous.
  18. ^^ That's pretty bad ass.
  19. As a former residential electrician, I am baffled. At first I thought it was likely something wired backwards- but since it turns the lights "off" when you turn it "off" that can't be the case. Is the outlet it's plugged into GFCI protected, either at the outlet or at the breaker (it should be since it's in a garage)?
  20. I don't know why it cost $300k... I mean a new Dodge pickup can be had for say $50k, an old Power Wagon, we'll be generous and say $20k for a REALLY NICE one... I'll even say $30k for labor and upgrades... where's the other $200k coming from?
  21. For sure! Any idea where I can get a large(er) size photo of that I could make into a poster?
