  1. thanks no probs, much app. BB have some great decals, and found someone in the UK, who will go halves on the price/pack for them, way too many cars i need really so its good
  2. yeah i can imagine, i did notice that too, i got a lot from him, around 99 to 2001 when surface was still good for a big box of kits. I guess a old fashioned guy with new technology back then. I too would see stuff but by the time i asked after seeing it, they had been taken. I did message him a few weeks ago first time in well over 10 years and he was jolly. He did say the stopping of surface shipping to Europe was a huge amount of his business
  3. I used him many times years ago when i got surface, never had a problem with him, either in mails or shipping
  4. Where did you get the decals from? I thought fender meant wing in US. I had always thought it meant the bumper but other day i saw some pics and they called the wings fenders. Mines coming along well, apart from the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH NYPD decal sheets i got so is on hold now. Put pics up earlier on another link
  5. i got my late 90s Jee Cherokee this winter, and first winter in years NO snow.....bit annoyed cos i live on the top of a huge hill. Cig papers are so useful, not just for smoking :-) These are lots of latest pics on here, inc the poor erroneous decal sheet i bought 2 of that arrived and no use....... I also found not mentioned in the instructions the long thin side door strips. The thicker of the 5 spoke chrome wheels have a glaring error, too flat, no curve at all as i show in the pics (i asked people on a FB model page which they preferred, A B or C) Please all take a look at the album and let me know what you think. http://s955.photobucket.com/user/mrcooljules/library/Lindberg%201-24th%20Charger%20Cop%20Car
  6. that link doesnt work, but i have checked out BB decals for months via policecarmodels, there is nothing they do that is good for NYPD i need
  7. Finally came, the actual sheet varies on the top right from what is show. troube is, while the detail and quality isnt great, like the 2 items each side of the rear bumper, the NYPD that is on the front doors, is the wrong size AND doesnt slant enough. Taken up a displute via ebay, i got 2 of these sheets, and 2 NYPD MU sheets. I need now to find a correct decal sheet.... i got hit with a $12 handling fee with the mail co. here. i wasnt so much bothered about the $7 tax, it was the handling fee that really got me.....esp for the poor decals. I have taken lots of pics of the real thing, while holding up the decals so you can see the horrendous error. This is the sheet http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201075911714?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Im low on photo bucket space but all the pics i have in a FB album of the whole build https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10154268206390571&set=ms.10154268209395571.10154268209070571.10154268208955571.10154268208770571.10154268208510571.10154268208345571.10154268208120571.10154268207780571.10154268209600571.10154268207535571.10154268207325571.10154268206885571.10154268206730571.10154268206640571.10154268206390571.10154268206135571.10154268206150571.10154268205810571.10154268207575571.bps.a.10154190054755571&type=1&theater
  8. Engerluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuund :-) my 2nd team is GErmany, cos i lived over in Dresden and dated a few E German girls.
  9. eh im confused
  10. I have a Jeep CHerokee now, and the ashtray is in a bad place and way too small, so i keep spare change in that.
  11. looks great. i opened the ashtray on a kit i made in the 90's, of a 77 Toyota Celica liftback as i made it like the one i had. even half a cig in the ashtray. love the work so far, i dont usually build the engine etc as i dont have access to a lot of kits, info and pics so dont know much about them, so unless i can do it 100% i dont bother. What are the headlights and bezels from? looks great
  12. it cost the other week, the 5 Lindberg Chargers 60 something $'s. I have just had the royal mail leave me a card, saying i have to pay a handling fee of about $12 for a couple of decal sheets i ordered from the US other week....thats more than the customs tax fee by a large amount. Often sellers just stick any price down not realising unlike the US, here we get stung for high charges for toys, either for ourselves or for selling as business I do have a lot of US cop car books, some are really thick and large. No way could i get them shipped over now. I know Surface must still be a option somehow, as the UK importer for Lindberg bring a huge amount in (or maybe they are brought in from another country?) but they never did or will import the Charger cop car or Crown Vic (i had that from the horses mouth a while back, hence i got 5 imported myself)
  13. im watching the 2 seasons of The Invaders at the mo. lots of these cars in each episode....they must have been paid to be there as 9 out of 10 cars at least are the same!
  14. Listen to this guy.....his dog was as GSD. So thats good enough for me :-)
  15. i was happy to wait 6 weeks or so, yeah it was Fred Stern IIRC. I never had one of the shipments fail to arrive, and at the time a large mail van would turn up almost daily with a big package for me. I soon built up a collection of a 1000 car kits that way, plus it was also a good way to get genuine CHiPs toys too. I need a few more AMT 70's Fords, few more Lindberg Crown Vics, Chargers etc plus so many muscle and trucks i want also
  16. I had a quick look online but didnt find out the info really. Years ago, i used to always use surface shipping, as i could get 10, 20 etc kits from one seller and surface was cheap....the stopped it now. I did speak to a old guy called Fred in NY who trades, years ago i used him a lot, he did say about 3 car kits could be surface shipped but price wasnt too great. Max i can get airmail (i was told by a ebay seller was about 10 car kits) but not cheap. SO is there a way, i can get surface shipped kits over? Seen some sellers who have a lot of stuff i would like, and i could split the kits down the middle with a friend. ta :-)
  17. thanks guys. useful info and pic I had read in one of the books about the 10bhp less for the CHP due to strict emissions etc and A38 package, what could be ordered etc. I have seen the single round light on a 75 Fury as used by the NYPD, i think it just might be a illusion but it looks like the single round light area size, is different to the 2 smaller rectangle lighted Fury, that seems thinner, but i guess it is just a illusion.
  18. i dont do many vehicles, im mainly a military modeller. Mind you wit all the footie on tv for the next month i will be watching every game!! c'mon engerluuuuuuuuund :-)
  19. i had a few mid 90's 5 series, inc tourings. great fun to drive, always had RWD and a lot of 70s Toyota Celica's, simple and fun.
  20. i would think there is a lot of vids on youtube. showing it would be easier than trying to explain it here, esp if its totally new to you. i have no idea what set hobby lobby sell.
  21. bloody brits....turn up everywhere lol
  22. great thanks. I went through all my books i got from the US many years ago, lots of data and interesting, just a lot of info for me to find until i go through them all and make notes. I have got the Yodel Fury grill to fit the AMT Monaco and looks nice.
  23. I thought there would still be a demand for things like that. Esp with the cheap AMT MOnaco easy to find, yet nasty wheels and tyres, and the basic kit with a bit of work looks good, and as you say convert to a Fury. I need to research, seen pics of a 75 Coronet with the single round headlight, that looks the same body from a couple of pics i saw online
