I will pay on Friday, im getting a Goon Monaco off him, that i wont for £7.50 (im down to 3, plus a TJ hooker box lol). Last week i won a Lindberg Crown Vic, AND a AMT 77 Ecoline van you guys told me to look out for. Much earlier boxing of the Phantom one i believe Anyway look forward to getting this ambulance, i will have to look around for some decals, I know nothing of the kit so any info you guys can offer would be great. I looks similar to ones i saw on s1 and s2 of CHiPs. Seen on US ebay a guy selling internal items etc in resin. Ok my wife is going to kill me..........I couldnt really afford it but i couldnt miss it (he had it at BIn for £35 for a week, and by chance i was going to message him asking if he would take less and then bam by luck its down to £25) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151309990844?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

ah yeah thats the name, forgot it, but didnt know it was named after the guy. good to know. yup seen a lot of interiors, some pretty basic and not as complicated cop centre console. I like how some cars have white side mirrors, some have black, some have lights built in and some dont. its great they give you both in the kit. oh i found the front push bar parts and made that. Just to see what it looked like -
that looks neat. I do like the Mustangs from that time, got a few books with them (and got some old Chimneyville decals for them). I did like the 12 CHP 79 Camaro's they had, so many little differences inside so i picked the one i liked the most and did that interior I had thought of copying this mainly, it says its a NYPD Charger. Im just on the hunt for clear shots of the front seat belts, how they fix and hang down when not used.

I like that CHP car. I do have a perverse thing for a all white CHP car, commercial vehicles. I like to add the extra lights inside to the front and rear. I plan on doing a unmarked car, maybe FHP with 2 figures on a traffic stop with a speeding car on side of the highway. The interrior i am doing this very minute, i plan on being a NYPD, not sure how it will look, what type of light bar, what of the 3 wheels to use etc. I like the V shape light bar but with the extra arm light things that fold and go into the air....something a little different. If i do a scene with 2 cop cars, even if the same type of car, i like to vary a little, i can look at a 100 cars inside and out and each one will have a sight difference, from placing of arials, to other little things. Anyway with this interior, i have mixed and matched a little, as i want to try to keep it a bit lighter inside, as once its all completed it would be very dark inside. Seen a few diff colours and styles of door trims etc. -
Could you find me a pic or 2 please, i cant picture in my head how it would look. I do plan on doing a unmarked one, on a traffic stop, i had thought about FHP with a figure and a the speeding car

I remember in the 70's my step dad having a few, from the round lights, to the single big square one, manuals and autos. 2 V6 engines were fitted, one from UK, the Essex, and the German Koeln. Tamiya did a kit many years ago, Zakspeed IIRC. I myself was into 70s Toyotas, esp Celica's, owned a few. -
thanks, good to know for down the line.

ah, we call it a spot light, although we dont have them. I though take down light was what you called it. We have alley lights, usually on the top, fixed into the light bar, one left and one right so flick a switch and lights up a dark alley -
no idea what a spray bomb

Well i bought about 30 Chimneyville decal sheets 14 or so years ago, all kept together, in plastic leaves in a folder....all bought at the same time, same seller. I cut out, placed in water some FHP decals............all broke up on the sheet, totally no use. I then opened the 2nd pack of them i also had, worked perfectly welll.............. Humidity and sunlight can affect decals but i doubt basic normal care would damage them

Seen lots of Bill Bozo decals i want, but with 6 vehicles on average on each sheet thats way more than i ever will need, 3 would be more than enough. Same goes with lots of License plates, shop signs and other vehicle related decal sheets. The sheets look amazing and not too cheap. Just wondered if anyone over here or in Europe would be willing to go half and half, so i get the sheets sent over, and forward the other half on to you. Either nice scanned instruction placement sheets emailed on or photo copies. I have seen about 20 sheets of things i want, way toooooooooooooooo many i will ever use off each sheet. Im getting lots of the 1/24th shoulder patches for NYPD etc sent over, as i want to redo the American Diorama cop and sheriff figures, better painted and correct patches, CHP, LAPD etc. I think theres enough for 10 or so figures (2 each uniform) and again 5 would be enough, these are pretty cheap anyway, so just a idea

ah cool thanks. popped up a load more pics but heres one, im still struggling with Photobucket and pics on here You can see where a put a new bracket for the swinging arm for the laptop, and put a new mic where it was. Still got lots to do, tone down, thin panel washes etc. Having lots of fun though http://s955.photobucket.com/user/mrcooljules/library/Lindberg%201-24th%20Charger%20Cop%20Car

Do you guys hold any hope out for the 2013 Charger kit being made? How did this Charger kit fare? hard to find now its not made, or still easy. I guess they need to sell a lot, to make a profit to make it worthwhile doing another cop car

found this pic, it looks a little cluttered but thought of adding something sat on the dash top, as something hanging down.........comments welcome I have made a note where to put the handle for the drivers take down??? light on the inner of the car http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=https%3A%2F%2Fc2.staticflickr.com%2F6%2F5181%2F5864377336_006e071152_z.jpg&imgrefurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.flickr.com%2Fphotos%2F31085415%40N03%2F5864377336%2F&docid=0Spkd5QnhbWlzM&tbnid=R5g1BPZA-Rh8xM&w=640&h=480&ei=_rd_U7WKDcXT7Aaph4GwAQ&ved=0CAYQxiAwBA&iact=c

quick build, NY Subway entrance for cop car etc
English Jules replied to English Jules's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I need next weekend to pop down the LMS (what you guys call a LHS) and pic up some plastic sheets, shapes and rods. So i can then, once i have measurments of the real thing, the height, the gap size etc i can do it right. Then i want to try to make some resin copies, never done that either before.....but if you dont try you dont know! -
Hopefully this works with photobucket... I cant find the push bar. There are lots more pics in the album, im trying to do various shades etc (im now doing a much darker main grey for the dash etc ) I looked at hundreds of pics, and im thinking of putting some electronic boxes etc on top of the dash like i have seen in pics (although no idea what they are lol) Ok lets try to put some pics on here made the little spot light Wiring and cables added and sink marks removed Adding a gloss on the LCD screen See various colours used so far Coming along slowly, no point rushing as i cant afford any Bill Bozo decals for a month, then it takes a month or 2 to be printed and shipped the website says. Im not 100% the real cop console has the laptop swing arm where it is in the kit....i could put it to the right, so against the left side of the passenger side, where i am running the cables etc meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I 'might' make it so the sun visor is down (its excellent they include the rear view mirror and visors...often not in the kits, so i have to make my own). I want to find a real pic showing it down, maybe there are some little papers or notes, with a elastic band. So i can add a little colour.........i want to add the seat belts too, if i can find good clear pics. I will do the plastic one piece prisioner seat a shiny black, where lots of butts have been, sliding and polishing that area. Few scuffs and scrapes on the partition also from shoes etc Lots of pics in album, im so slow putting links on here. Please look at the album, im sure you guys will spot some things i have done wrong, or could do better. Any comments welcome, even negatives :-) I cant improve if i keep making mistakes. <iframe width="480" height="360" src="http://s955.photobucket.com/user/mrcooljules/embed/slideshow/Lindberg%201-24th%20Charger%20Cop%20Car"></iframe>
