*Disclaimer - I am just sharing this, and know nothing of it's validity. Make of it what you will. Hopefully it's not erroneous reporting. Some long awaited REVELL news: Home Page Atlantis Toy and Hobby > Atlantis News! Updated August 2018 Open the Official PDF Version ** PRESS RELEASE ** Contact: President: Peter Vetri FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tel. (631) 499-6733 Email: sales@atlantis-models.com Atlantis Models "Preserving the Past while Building the Future" LONG ISLAND, NY, August 29th 2018 – Atlantis Model Co., manufacturer of plastic models and toys has purchased the tooling for many plastic model kits from the new owners of Revell, Revell Inc. USA-Blitz Partners. These molds were from the tooling banks of Monogram, Revell, Aurora and Renwal, some dating back to the early 1950s. They were stored in Revell’s Elk Grove facility in the great state of Illinois and represent Automotive, Aircraft, Ships, Military, Figures, Space and many other interesting subjects. Peter Vetri, President of Atlantis, states, “It's a lifelong dream to own this historic tooling and archive material related to these molds; to be able to preserve the tooling is a real honor. We look forward to reissuing many classics that have not been available in quite some time. All of the model kits will be made here in the USA and all the tooling and the Archive have been moved from Elk Grove to our facilities in Deer Park, NY. I would personally like to thank Julie Dombrowski, Edward Sexton, Lou Aguilera, Chris Borris and the legendary Ken Funk for the hard work they did at Revell over the years and especially the last few months which were a difficult closure for them.” The deal was worked out shortly after the Hobbico bankruptcy was settled out. It was a very smooth transaction. It took about 2 months to complete from start to finish. Rick DelFavero, VP of operations, states, “I think model enthusiasts around the world will be pleasantly surprised in the coming years to see what the tooling bank and Historical Archive contains. We believe our releases will appeal not only to people that saw the original issues of these kits, but also to a new generation that can help expand and grow the hobby!” Look for kits to hit store shelves 1st qtr 2019, our 10 Year Anniversary! Dragster front wheels

Those look awesome ! Looking forward to trying a set. Thanks for your effort. -
At one of our local Hobby Lobby's today I noticed all the airbrushes and compressors were marked way down. I picked up some Paasche air brush parts for dirt cheap. Jar lids with gaskets were 39 cents, and I got a couple of needles and tips for 1.99 each. The needles were normally 7.99 each. The air brushes were the Iwata ones.

Congratulations Chris !!! Way to go. Best Automotive Entry @ IMPS. It's been so exciting following your build, and feel your angst when something went awry, and the anxiousness awaiting the next update. You sir are a master craftsman extraordinaire. jimmy -
I just wanted to share a great experience I had with Joe and Freemont Racing Specialties. I purchased a Fiat dragster, the "Sudden Death" or what I had called the Frank Pedregon Fiat. The body arrived damaged, even though it was packed really well. I contacted Joe, and he immediately offered a full refund, or another body to replace the damaged one. He kept me informed, and was quick to respond. The new one arrived today with a bonus to "Make up for the trouble" as Joe put it. This was my first purchase, but will not be my last as the body was free of flash, had nice crisp lines, and is as thin as a regular model body. It's a nice feeling dealing with people of good values, and fine craftsmanship. Jimmy

Thanks for the answer John. If you don't mind, could you tell me about the rims for the fronts? Did they come with the Deeks wheel kit? Thanks again, Jimmy -

Really excited about this build by three of the best. I have a question for John. Are you just using half of the Herb Deeks wire wheels to make the dragster front wheels? Thanks ! -

John, did you use small diodes and transistors for detailing the jet engine? It looks awesome ! -

It's amazing the vision you have taking something from pieces of plastic to such realistic looking finished pieces. just when I wonder what will John do next, the next incredible installment arrives. Thanks John for making me log in every day to see what's next ! -

It's coming together great. You've got great vision as it's evolved so much from your initial mock-up. It's always exciting to see where your next update takes us. -

John, another great one on the bench. I'm sure you have a jet engine in mind, but just in case I've got a couple of these laying around I could send you. Let me know. I can't wait to see how this one turns out. -
I asked the store manager here today about it, and she replied they were going to a straight 75% off, rather than starting at 40% off to make it easier to clear them out rather than having to keep marking them down. I got the 49.99 AMT Ladder Truck for 12.49, and a '57 Ford Gasser Wagon, and '51 Chevy convertible for $7.50 each.

I picked a couple of these up today at Hobby Lobby on clearance for $7.50 each.

No pictures, but got two Revell '57 Ford gasser Wagons, an AMT "Der Beetle Bus" , an AMT Man In Space Five Complete Nasa Rocket Kits, and a Monogram 1/32 Sherman M4A1 "Screamin" Mimi for $7.50 each. I've never seen kits marked down this low on the first go around.

What thickness of plastic are you cutting with the silhouette scrapbook cutter? It looks like it scores the material and then you weed out the scrap. I was thinking of getting one. Also what software do you use with it? Everything's looking great on your build, and thanks for answering ! Jimmy
