"It is a shame, I have a TON of his resin products and they are top notch, he was one of best with great service. Alan" You don't have a Flamin' Frank Pedregon Fiat do you ?

One year later and still nothing to show for my money. I have called every so often, and Randy's as nice as can be and if to be believed I would have received about 7 or 8 bodies by now. It seems I might as well as got in my car, drovet up to about 80 and threw my money out the window. I'm not sure at this point what recourse I even have since he's in Canada, and I'm in the States. That's $35.00 I'll never get back.

Does anyone know much about this ? I looked at the web site and it looks like you have to purchase whatever the "kits of the months" are. The bonus kit interested me, and I was wondering if it's true they would only be available to the club members. It seems it would be expensive to produce these kits, to only make enough for the club members. Could there be that many people enrolled ? Just wondering if anyone had some information. This is the bonus kit I'm interested in.

Craig Clements "Head Hunter" : new project 4/16/14
Jimmy Wilson replied to John Teresi's topic in WIP: Model Cars
This is going to be a great one to watch, as all your builds are. -
Looks good to me. Nothing wrong with "what ifs" or fantasy builds, especially if it pleases the builder. I think another motor might have just been way cool !

How often do you visit Hobby Lobby?
Jimmy Wilson replied to dantewallace's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Some of our local Hobby Lobbys (Dallas/Plano Texas) are marking down kits. The AMT Double Dragster, Gremlin, Munster Mobile, Grandpa's Dragster and Myer's Manx are some of the ones I've seen marked down. Most were 14.99, and the Myer's Manx was 13.99 or so. -
Model Cars Magazine sold in retail stores
Jimmy Wilson replied to N~8~Ball's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
This is not related to your post, but I have had two issues arrive with the covers torn. One was shredded pretty good. The November issue also was torn in a couple of spots. I know the problem lies with the postal service, could the magazine be sleeved or shipped in a plastic bag ? i enjoy the magazine immensely, and keep them to refer to and would like them in nice condition. Thanks for all your efforts in putting it together. Jimmy -
I foolishly placed an order in May of 2013. It's now January 29, 2014 and still no product. I have called, been told "it was shipped three times now, I should had gotten it, I don't know where it's going, etc...." I am really disappointed now as my sister bought my purchase as a birthday gift, and she passed away in November, and I even explained this to Randy. I tried to extend some faith in him, and so far, nothing but disappointments. He is encouraging on the phone, but nothing has materialized as far as my order.

Triple Nickel inspired '29 Ford Roadster drag car
Jimmy Wilson replied to Bernard Kron's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
What a great picture ! I went to the Speed Bowl, and Amarillo Drag Way when I was a kid. Plains Chevrolet also sponsored a '65 or so Chevelle Drag car. Seems every summer there was a Texas vs California drag race. -
I grew up going to Amarillo Dragway. and saw him race many times.

Looks really awesome ! True to life indeed.

Thanks, I guess I wasn't looking at the BIG picture. It's nice to have this many options.

I just received two Monogram Slingsters in the mail. Boy am I stoked. Thirty six pages of instructions, WOW. Makes me want to buy four more so I can build one of every flavor in the bunch. I feel bad for the collectors, but it's a great day for the everyday builder to be able to obtain these great kits of our youth at reasonable pricing, so you don't feel bad about actually building one. I bought some Dragster wire wheels off e-Bay, and some more parts directly. He was quick to send my items, and patient on the phone, as I wasn't completely sure as what I wanted/needed. The photo-etched Dragster wire wheel sets are AWESOME ! Jimmy -
