It looks like a nice build, but it's hard to see. The pictures are very blurry.

I ordered some of these today

I do have the new Revell 37 Ford pickup. I hate the fenders though, maybe I'll hack them off and put it in there. I stole the flathead out of it to use in the 49 Ford. -
I think it's called Hellaflush. They destroy the camber and they see how close they can get the wheel lip to the fender of the car. 99.9% of them I have seen are atrocious, because they are done on a budget. I would dare to call them the rat rod of the 21st century. When they are done well, they look nice, but you still have that horrible driveability/tire wear issue. This is what I usually see, but with horrible paint and cheap wheels https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-frc3/t1/s403x403/1743705_607595095980137_1100728101_n.jpg this is what you usually don't see, because not many guys do it right http://www.rallyxd.com/rallyxd/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/news-toyota-86-fr-s-scion-brz-stance-hella-flush-ce28-volk-rays-photochop.jpg I found someone who decided to do this http://i.imgur.com/TxnqdPS.jpg And this is what you get in Japan http://motormavens.com/emAlbum/albums/Antonio%20Alvendia/Random%20Dope/derek-kreindler.png

It does look good, but I lose interest when I am building more than one of the same model at the same time. Done. i never knew about the full editor thing. I should pay more attention. Thanks. Moebius Hudson That is a good idea. i don't have one of those kits yet. -
I'm not a Mopar fan and I've never built a Mopar model, but this was too tempting. I bought the manifold, carbs, stacks and valve covers from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland today. Should be here within a few weeks. Second one from the left, with the black stacks It is made for the Hemi that comes in the new Revell 32 Ford. I have no idea what I am going to do with it. Model Car Garage has PE linkage that's awesome too, so it should look pretty killer when done. What should I put it in? Besides the 32 Ford. I don't have any cars. Maybe I can shoe horn it in a Shoebox Ford. Franken Ford. The Shoebox of Death Edit: Can a mod/admin fix my stupid title please.

Scale Finishes Paint - To be Cleared or Not?
Quick GMC replied to jjsipes's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
the basecoats need to be cleared. -
That's great, thank you. I spoke with RMM today and he does not have any replacement tires for this car. He did refer me to HRM for the wheels and stuff I needed. I ended up ordering a bunch of Webers to try out for my Cobra project, as well as a few other things. I will contact Strada for the HRM parts.
-
Yes. My tires are warped and cupped and cannot be used. If I sanded the tread surface flat, I would lose a good 1/8" of tire or more. I have sent several emails to HRM with no response. I know he has health issues and a massive backlog of orders, and I've all but lost hope. That's why I am looking into RMM. I hear nothing but good things, but it's hard to find stuff with no website or catalog. I suppose I should just call. As far as the wheels, they are perfectly fine, but the spare wheel/tire/hold-down are molded together and I wanted to replace it with a proper piece. I was saying that if the new wheel tire for the psare was different than the kit wheels, then I would just buy a set of 5 wheels/tires so everything matched. The one thing I have noticed with everyone's builds of this kit is the stance and tire sidewall. This car sits really low in real life, and the kit sits high. I need to get this thing as low as I can, and those chunky tires don't help.
-
That turned out great. I am in the middle of this build right now, with the Hobby Design PE kit. I butchered this kit last time, so I'm hesitant to move forward.
-
The tires in the Grand Sport kit are unusable and I want to replace them. I also want to replace the spare tire/wheel that is molded in with the hold down. I don't know what those particular wheels and tires are. I have found a photo copied version of Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland's catalog, but there are no pictures. If I need to, i will just buy a new set of 5 wheels to fit their tires What tires would I be looking for? What wheels am I looking for? I'm sure it's a version of Halibrand?

On that Chevy I posted, I did use GM Blue engine enamel. I use it on a few engines, it dries pretty shiny. They have all the matched colors at the auto stores. i think I got mine at Napa. -
where did you get those valve covers?

A little more progress. I have never done anything like this before, so it iwll be slow going. I cut down the fron radiator support to line up with the back of the grill, so there wouldnt be a gap when the hood is off. I cut the cowl off and I will extend the hood, otherwise the Glidden internals wouldn't fit Some things that need trimming to fit properly -
there are supposed to be errors. None of them have badges either. They don't pay for licensing.
