  1. If you're looking for a best friend to get into shennanigans with, its the perfect dog.
  2. You're getting your panties in a twist, right now, in this thread. I'm sorry if I sound like a jerk, but the guy made a thread to share a nice build and the first thing that was posted was whining about the mention of the other mag. it's absurd. The hobby is small enough and divided enough already, this kind of stuff doesn't help. I know it is a privilege to be on this forum and participate, and for the most part I have followed the rules, but this one kind of bothered me. I'll leave it at that.
  3. I have never owned one, but have a little experience with them. They are extremely energetic and unbelievably strong for their size. They will absolutely need regular exercise, at least in their younger years. If you aren't prepared to walk them or play with them at least once a day, forget about it. If they get neglected, attention and exercise wise, they can become destructive (like any dog). They are awesome dogs though.Great companions. I have a bad habit of rough housing with my dogs. A Bull Terrier would be a good dog to wrestle around with, they are very stout.
  4. It's incredible what people can get their panties twisted over these days. Coexistence is necessary, competition is necessary. Friendly competition is better than whining about someone mentioning another magazine's name. What do you think would happen if both forums freely promoted each other? Do you think they would both implode, or would both flourish, with more members? Instead, we get scolded for the mere mention of them. This is the best way to divide users and drive some of them away. It's not bad business to mention the competition or even throw them a bone once in a while, it's bad business to censor posts and whine about them.
  5. You don't NEED a computer, yet here you are.
  6. Most of you will never have the pleasure of experiencing super glue bloom.we use super glue to fill chips in granite counters. Sometimes the accelerator will react with certain minerals and turn a bright aqua color and bloom all over the surrounding areas. We remove it with bleach and comet.
  7. If you have to keep recharging your air conditioning, something is wrong.
  8. Anyone can type anything. I like to post source links so I'm not just regurgitating words.
  9. all those things do is delay the shift. It's pretty much like tow mode. on some of the higher end cars, they will actually alter fuel delivery and some other stuff, but I don't think they do on the Infiniti's The Jaguar S Type had a variable intake manifold like the old Taurus SHO and it would actually re-route the air, but in their other cars it just delayed the shift by 500 RPM.
  10. The Isle of Mann racers have massively giant cahones.
  11. had this done when I was 18 Agony & Ectasy http://imgur.com/a/gzwac
  12. I bought this one http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=597773&gclid=COKH-eTjlb4CFZJbfgodnEUA1A&Q=&is=REG&A=details I love it. it types very nicely with no effort at all. The lights go on and off easily when you need them too. I paid $80 for mine only to find they lowered the price a few weeks later. worth every penny IMO
  13. I was in vegas all week last week. It was nice compared to Palm Springs. 100 degrees and 40MPH. It doesn't seem to be letting up any time soon.
  14. a lot of people do v8 swaps into Rangers out here. They move the firewall back. The extended cab essentially turns into a single cap, but with the same wheelbase.
  15. It's mostly fondant. Eat a plate full of fondant and then decided whether or not you think they should have thrown it away. It's practically inedible
  16. Well this is pretty fantastic news https://twitter.com/tanujlakhina/status/459671376853352448
  17. I understand how these things get swept under the rug and most of the time it is just part of the business, but when safety is involved, it need to get with immediately. There really is no excuse. I am a GM fan and owner, and will shortly be in the market for a new truck. As much as I am set on a new GMC, I'll look elsewhere if they think their customers are expendable.
  18. It's based off a Lotus Elise/Exige. Nothing to do with the Viper. It even uses a GM engine in the exact article you posted, it explains how they moved away from their original Viper platform, to a mid engine Elise based car.
  19. I saw this in person in 2000. Ugliest thing I have ever seen http://www.muscularmustangs.com/database2/mach3.jpg
  20. There is photoshop used in each one, but it's definitely the ability to line up the shots that makes it work.
  21. That's really cool. I wish I saw more of these types of business around.
  22. I was a auto tech for a while. I always bought the best, but I did have a set of sockets and wrenches from Husky my dad got me as a graduation gift. I used them every single day alongside everything else and they survived. Just started rounding out a wrench or two, but nothing bad. Never broke a socket. For someone on a budget, Husky is hands down the way to go. I recall Stanley or one of the manufacturers being sued a long time ago for their "made in usa" claim, when they didn't meet the requirements to be able to use that slogan. The majority of their stuff was being made offshore.
  23. My stash consists of 50/50 Tamiya/Revell or Monogram. I've built 1-2 AMT's and can't stand them. I like the Revell kits most of the time, and for the subject matter, they are the only way I will go, but Tamiya has the most consistent and best quality, IMO.
  24. I'm a manual guy, but I have an auto in my GMC. It has a shift kit and 3k stall converter. I can hold any gear I want, throttle is snappy and it will shift faster than anyone can shift a standard 5 speed. The truck and two cars I had before this were stocks, and I definitely have a lot more fun driving them.
