  1. This is really sad news. He won the first race a Superbird ever won with his Superbird. Thankfully the car still exists.
  2. Yeah dude that’s a sharp build. The last Oldsmobile style to race.
  3. Here’s the body in primer and sitting on wheels.
  4. If you notice I put the big strengthening brace across the inside of the floor
  5. I’m playing catch-up with the pictures here. Here’s the chassis under construction.
  6. Tommy did them a couple years ago. Been sitting in my somday I’ll get around to it pile.I got probably 50 sets of decals in there.
  7. This is a build for Dave’s son. This was the last race Dave ever drove in. MPC 500 body that will use a modified AMT Roadrunner chassis .
  8. That’s what this body was. Suffice it to say the molds were pretty tired when I did this one. Lots of bodywork to make it presentable.
  9. I agree the rims are funky looking at best.
  10. Go on Facebook look up Too Many Projects. He does a street version. Not to difficult to convert the body and slap it on a stretched amt TBird nascar chassis.
  11. Now that I see it done I want to do it full scale. It would be an enormous undertaking. The trunk lid needs to be shortened to start. The hinges relocated on the trunk lid . You would have to have all the inner structure inside the roof and quarters from the Pontiac too. But it would be cool.
  12. I’m pretty sure these will be it’s forever wheels.
  13. I used Monogram 80s Thunderbird wheels. Gerald I think still has a mold for them. He’s made them in resin before.
  14. Maybe but let me see if I can scare up the correct one first.
  15. I made it. I took a coarse silver and started putting violet into it till I liked it. I think I put a drop or two of blue in it also.
  16. Please shoot me a picture!! Is it a 65 or 66? I believe they are the same.
  17. The body is like a half hearted copy of the old Johan body. The Johan is a much better tool than this one. Comes with a much higher price tag too. If I was building a stock 66 I would have found a Johan. Thanks for the trade info.
  18. Put some primer on this guy
  19. No it’s one of those Hasagawa things with the crappy interior in it. It’s a 66. I wasn’t going to hack a Johan for this screwyness. I hope to at a minimum find a Johan 66 dashboard to stick in it.
  20. Added new drip rail moldings and made some Eldorado style rocker moldings. Went with the 65 style chrome over the 66. I think the 65 style is cleaner looking.
