  1. It depends what you are using for paint. If you use a hardened clear like I do you should have no issues putting a light clear coat on then decals then another coat of clear. I do all of mine exactly like that. If you use rattle cans no matter how you do it clearing over the decals can be risky. Reason being the solvents in the clear can rewet the previously applied paint causing the decal to wrinkle . Many think the decals are the problem when in fact it is solely caused by the paint. Trust me on this. Some foil decals don’t like clear. The get a etched look to them.
  2. There’s a whole story on that stupid roof. I’ve wanted to build this car for a long time. Sam is one of my favorite racing drivers. I know the air cleaner is wrong for this car. It’s been laying around firebrand it looks cool in there so I used it.
  3. Spoken for truth Mark! Very nice build on a difficult chassis to make right.
  4. It’s a resin copy of the old MOC PETTY Plymouth. The chassis is a Polar Lights Charger.
  5. Larry this looks kick ass. You got any pictures of the body on the chassis
  6. Another one to add to the list of in the works projects.
  7. Yep me too and Donohue was one of my hero’s. Gone way way to soon. One of the worlds best.
  8. What if Mark Donohue kept driving Penske Matadors? This is an old build. Amt kit mostly box stock with exception of wheels tires and some extra bars on the cage. Used Dave Vans Decals .Lowered it opened the frt wells and made an aluminum shroud under the hood. These were ugly cars but I liked them.
  9. I like this car it’s different looking. A little more progress on it
  10. With the font you used I figured this car was what you were after.
  11. I sprayed the whole thing a dark brown. Then a dry brushed a darker brown ,a red oxide kinda brown and a little of a tan color on it. I use a stiff bristle brush seems to work better for me.
  12. Here you go Mark looks kinda dark in the picture. Going to clear it yet.
