  1. That’s a better explanation than mine.
  2. The blocked were slightly different too. But for all practical purposes a Cleveland was like a Boss 302 headed Windsor.
  3. Look at the shape difference and number of bolts. First photo is Windsor second Cleveland
  4. The cylinder heads. Are completely different on a Cleveland. They look like a Boss 302 head. A Windsor head looks like a 289 head.
  5. I’m pretty proud of my cobbled rollbar. Made from MPC Johan and Polar Lights parts. The frt down bars are the only pieces I had to make.
  6. Mark it would have been a Cleveland engine. I don’t have any pictures but it would look like the engines in the later NASCAR Ford kits. The valve covers would not have been Ford Motorsport like the amt kit used. I just sand the fins and writing off and paint them silver.
  7. Painted the frame and put the body in filler primer.”
  8. Also built up the hood edges. Hood was way narrow. And built the engine cage. Engine and radiator test fit again
  9. Added vinyl top moldings. Car had a painted hardtop which used the moldings.
  10. Got this thing de trimmed. Opened the rear wells a bit and flared them out slightly. Also pulled the bottom rear of the rockers out in frt of the rear tires.
  11. Ok so you did the same as I did with a Reventlow Scarab. I scratchbuilt a brass tube space frame modified the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out of a Strombecker Scarab body then got lost on making a DeDion tube rear suspension . So it sits 20 years later. At least it’s in the company of others in the same boat.
  12. I don’t know Dave I’ve been known as the undisputed king of unfinished projects. I’ve got models that have been half done for decades.
  13. Since I’m stupid or something I always have about 6 cars going at any time. I switch off between them. This one is a pretty simple build aside from rollbar and interior stuff.
  14. Had to get back on this one today just adding final details now.
  15. Thanks Mark As long as I stay focused it will be cool.
  16. Capped off the top of the frame rails. Engine test fit. Had to move the oil pan sump to the rear. Rivs had an odd center sump.
  17. Cut the control arm and spring perches from the old axle and put them on the new one.Quick mock-up for stance.
  18. Drilled the spring pockets through the frame and floor. This will lower the rear even without cutting springs. Added these spacers. They have a smaller I’d than the holes I drilled so they limit the springs from falling through. They also look like spring pockets for screwjacks.
  19. Progress pictures. Had to shorten the frame and floor at the rear. Narrow the frame rails by the tires. Hog out the wheelhouses too. Added a 9”Ford rear. Made a frt and rear firewalll. The 442 firewall was too tall and had too much stuff molded in.
  20. Reshaped the rear end some today. The two body lines on the top of the trunk lid don’t belong. And it needs one on the back of trunk.
  21. First off many many thanks to JustJake for the body!! I will be doing some corrections along with some mods to this body. It will hopefully go on an AMT 66 442 chassis. A 69 Riv gave up its engine for this build.
  22. I sent him an email waiting for a response. Look how much different the engine callouts on the hood are between the high bank picture and the others. Also no naca ducts on the high bank picture.
