The decals are Powerslide. Paint is Ford Performance red. It’s a very orangey red . I was thinking Zhongshan Shan is the eight year old running the mold machine that made the kit.

This will be the car. Got the rollcage made last night. Wife’s is out of town so I have lots of time!!

I don’t think it matters. Monogram has there’s going like Larry’s. Amt goes the other way. -
Mark it will say See Rock City on the side!

Ok I shall be the first to hack one of these up into a stock car. This kit is awesome. So far I’ve opened the wells a little added a fuel fill opening and fuel overflow. Dechromed the sides and filled mirror mounts. Lowered it and made screwjacks.

The flat nose Cutlass was a supreme. They had the Monte roofline.

Notice that Dales car has the formal Monte Carlo roofline. While the 51 car has the standard roofline. -

You need a panhard bar or watts link to locate that axle side to side! Otherwise the driver is gonna fill his pants!? -
I don’t know but none of the Colonade cars ever ran the opera windows.

The body engine, minus trans and dashboard is. The rest is TBird parts. Not one of my best efforts. But it’ll do.

I used 2016 Ford code UX for the silver.. I photocopy the decal sheet then cut the stripes out to use as a template

This thing is finally done. I set it aside for a long while cause I hated the bumpers and chassis. I slapped a TBird chassis under it to cure the chassis issue. I filled the spoiler groove in the trunk lid and made a thinner spoiler for it. Reshaped the wheelwells added the upgraded bumpers and grille to it. I used the kit engine but put the TBird trans and oil pan on it. Added the overflow and a frt spoiler. Stainless screen over the grille.

I think Larry means 78 racing season. And it is one real sharp car! -
Nice job. I love Smokey’s cars.

Ol days decals. He has a Facebook site. Nice decals

There appears to be major confusion on this photo. That Torino was not even built by the Wood Brothers. That was a Jack Bowsher built USAC chassis. Dave is correct completely illegal for NASCAR cup series. Aside from that Mark said he wanted to use up an existing chassis. He knows it isn’t “Correct”.

Interesting you ask that. I spent an entire evening bulging the fenders and qtrs out on this thing. Yet you can barely see it in pictures. I heated and rolled a knife handle behind them to do it. Then I used the frt of the PPP wheels and the kit wheel backs. I sanded the wheel backs thinner so they would sit further in the tires. Here’s the real car showing how the wtrs and fenders bulge out slightly.

Thanks boys!

That looks good man. I’m working on one now I like this kit.
-
Sounds fair!

Who’s car will it be?
-
This started as a Lindberg Chevelle. Rollbar is part MPC part scratchbuilt. Scratchbuilt Underhood bars and air cleaner. PPP wheels and tires. Custom mixed colors and brand new decals by Ol’Days Decals.

That’s cool!

You are making that for sure. Get out your tools!!
