  1. I found what is was. A 65 Coronet trunk emblem. Tried copying it and reducing it down to make a decal. Just refused to look right. So I just glued an old Charger photoetched emblem on instead. Looks good enough for me. That dash wasn’t in the same car anyway. So for all I know this one could have said Charger. That’s my justification at least?
  2. Made a dash for it. Should end up looking like this. I need to find a better picture of the Dodge emblem on it. I don’t know what that emblem came on. Not a Mopar guy.
  3. That roof looks correct now Paul. Nice looking so far!
  4. I’ve done like 8 of these chassis. I pretty much know where I’m going with them before I start. Plus the clear I use is 2 part urethane. The flat clear too. Stuff is tough to damage on a model. Meant for the abuse of a real car. If I’m doing a car I’ve never done before I mend my ways.?
  5. Got the major chassis stuff done. Stance is right for this car now. Fuel cell made k member ready for final details.
  6. Yep has a fuel filler on the other side. Car sat real low in back.
  7. This will be Cottons Charger 500 as it was driven by Sam Posey in his only NASCAR start. It is a SMH resin body on an AMT Roadrunner chassis. It will have a mostly scratchbuilt frt suspension. A scratchbuilt frt K member and engine rollbar will also be made.
  8. Now that’s how it should be done! Nice job man.
  9. Another thing to consider. All Olds engines aside from Toronado had the starter on the drivers side. Couldn’t use that in a Toro with the transaxle in the way.
  10. Gotta make an air cleaner. Touch up a few things frt spoiler maybe? Can’t find a good frt picture for the spoiler.
  11. Nice job I like the all green car the best.
  12. That’s ok but missing the fabbed K member that Nichels engineering added when they built these cars.
  13. None of the kits ever had the correct frt bars and dabbed K members that the race cars had.
  14. Got some more done today the only fit issue I’ve seen with this thing is the rear bumper. Trim a little on the back of the qtr taillight opening fixed it right up. Bare metal is done windows in window braces in. Seat bolsters on. Final test fit.
  15. Both cars were B body Mopars same chassis
  16. Here is couple more. The dash and rollcage are from a Polar Lights Talledega kit. Fits great to the Charger body.
  17. No! MPC did do some with a generic racing chassis but that’s as close as it gets. I make my own out of Revell Charger Daytona kits. Not too difficult if you like to scratchbuilt. Here is some in progress pictures I’ll see if I can find some further along pictures.
  18. Century custom had that roof Century Special had the fastback roof
  19. Ding ding we have a winner. All the numbers came from 2 model king sets.
