Looks AWSOME!!! , very good build up of one of the "Iceman's " last good ride's. I'll trade you your 30 mph winds for our 60 mph winds and throw in 0 vizability, My wife said her lil 12 pound dog was peeing this am while being blown across the ice on our patio. LOL wish I had video to post.

That is just AWSOME!!! It only took 8 months, that would be my one in a life time type of build. That is just 1 incredible build!

Nice build Jimmy, car looks great in the 2-tone. If my muddled memory serves me,these were also around the time you could build a racecar through Direct connection, aka the Dodge parts guys. I wonder if a dealer still has some of those big 43 decals stashed away somewhere?

Scribing Panel Lines & Opening Doors
FUSIONBOY replied to ViperDave's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
I would like to open up the tool compartment doors on an old petty race hauler i've been holding onto for all these years. the car carrier portion is built, but i would like to open the large doors under the tire carrier area and also the side doors down by the wheel area. what is the best/more realistic thing to use or build? I'm going to stretch out the Lindberg L-700 kit to place this on. I sure miss the days of open trailers and car haulers, I was heading home a few fridays ago and saw a friend pulling his dirt modified to the local track, just his pick up pulling an open trailer, I gawked like a 10 yr old till the light turned. Thanks for such a great forum Gregg! -
Is the other guy in the pic flashing gang sighns? I have the 6 firebird also, first time dealing with resin, with the great shape the parts came in it sure won't be my last purchase from Jimmy.

WOW what a time machine that is. Great build. I had an uncle racing in that time frame and remeber all the big timers like Senneker, Trickle , Joe Shear, all running at the Minnesota state fairgrounds. They used to race 4 days and then Labor day was the big race, now the tracks a memory , but your build sure brings back some good memorys from my younger years.

Very nice build, can just about hear the rumble from the duals, the hub caps add a certain sleeper element to the whole look, paint is great looking! I miss my 77 Blackbird just looking at this one.

Turning won't be the problem. the thing would probly go into hover mode at idle. Great build. Reminds me of Randy Quaids mower in the movie MOVING, staring Richard Prior and Quaid as the lunatic guy next door with the blown 350 reel mower and a 15 inch strip of lawn to mow.

IS THAT THE JIMMY FLINTSTONE RESIN BODY? i BOUGHT ONE TO , BUT AM STUCK TRYING TO PUT A 98 F-BIRD DASH IN PLACE OF THE CAMARO UNIT.

Your build is INCREDIBLE!!!! I am not ashamed that i to thought it was the real thing at first. -
There was a purple challenger ran by Swede Savagein the series. Swede is also the guy who at indy is shown in a destroyed car with his feet hanging out the front end, what a name for a racer! the Posey build is excellent! saw an article on Sam while ago, still has the fire , but his body is fighting him on it.

WOW, that looks great!! the paint looks an inch(in scale) deep, wonderful build on a beatiful car!!
-
Very nice build! looks like Max and dog just stepped away for a minute. I agree with sak as to the beauty of these cars, I saw one in Minnesota and talked with the owner for a bit. very cool cars.

I saw one of these at the dealership I worked at back int the late 80's. it was the panel style and in incredible condition, 1 problem, the raised rear floor and non-adjustable drivers seat and me being 6'7 made for a comical clown car type of test drive, plus the 3 sp on the floor didn't help either, but it sure was a neat lookin lil ride.

Look What's Coming In 2008 From Revell Germany!
FUSIONBOY replied to larrygre's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I think the motor coach route would be the way to go, after seeing all the nascar drivers condo's on wheels one of these bus's would make a great one up on the other drivers as no one else would have one. -
I just got mine from the ups man this morning, scale shmail, this thing is cool!!! paid over 30.00,but I've always wanted one and again this thing is cool.
-
That looks great so far, the old stations had feel to them that the new box's with a window don't, I am always on the look out when going thru small towns for old stations and old car dealerships. very cool build please post some updates .

Thanks guys for all the feed back on the resin question, this body has been easy to work with, a little harder removing the flash from it but all together not bad. i would sure buy another from jimmyflintstone in a heart beat.
