  5. Hawaiian shirt How Much, and.....Pics please
  6. Ringworld,.... great series of novels! Larry Niven is one of my Fav's When he teamed with Jerry Pournelle for "Mote in God's eye" and "Gripping Hand"....
  7. Hey.. I like the body work you did on this ! That chassis looks spot on as well,...a little something I do to black chassis is rub it down with graphite powder,... makes it really pop Scribing trunk lines, ...after it's been painted,.... mmmm ,... you need to straight edge and GENTLY run a new #11 exacto.. Gently....did I say gently ....to start a line where you want it. then after 3-4 passes, turn the blade around to the backside and GENTLY scribe again 3-4 times Well you will need to repaint, but don't strip it ,...it will soften all the filler.
  8. Walter Wolf F-1 Tamiya kit I tried building it when I was 19...-,,,,20 ..? Didn't give it the time it deserved .. pretty much gave up on the gold paint work bought from my LHS, and back when you could taste the new styrene in there Need to try it now
  9. What section are the soccer moms kept in?
  10. Yep Stock was way down, but,...like you said and I thought, we are just fresh out of Christmas, so.. They did have a ton of paints, exacto (testors) accessories, and Jewellery wire etc. It has always been the smallest section in my store,.. but at least they are not trying to sell old Monogram kits for $42.00 like my LHS
  11. Ok ...no primer yet but,... I said I would pull out the airbrush and start a learnin' so,... I found a great tip on wide white painting on this site, so thought I would try it out What better car to put wide whites on than a '62 T-bird....right? Fooled around with mixtures,.. Micheal's Craft paint and windex, water, 99% isopropyl ....nope Testors acrylic and 99%,.. 2p paint : 1P iso, ....yep Will let it dry and shoot the whole tire with Tamiya flat... Always an adventure Also built up the cowl with strips of evergreen and some Squadron White putty I really like Squadron's putty ,... if you let it skin up, you can still shape it by patting it around a bit. Thanks for looking in Any Questions, Comments, and/or Criticisms welcome. Model on Cheers

  19. I always paint the body after I get a rolling chassis, I KNOW is going to fit under everything. Including interior, glass, tires and wheels of choice etc., There is nothing more aggravating to me than getting to final, and having to pull out the dremel on a polished body! Even without body mods I test fit, test fit, test fit. As far as window trim,...after paint and polish,... I will use a sharpie for black or BMF
  20. Thank you everyone for the comments....it keeps me going for sure! Jamie,... I use a digital camera Canon Power Shot Pro 1, Set on P and Macro, Using a tripod (a must). I light it with a double halogen construction light,.. pointed at the white ceiling above my work bench, and my fluorescent magnifier light for under lighting. And the background of a blown up sunset shot of Lakeside Park. (Yep, The Lakeside Park Rush sings of). You need to shoot fairly close to the model 10" - 12" away. And Tim (seeker 589) Here... have at 'er Cheers

  23. Nice Trans Am came out great! I started playing around with backgrounds in my photos,.. sometimes they are too distracting,.... I like the winter scene,.. but your car is on the ice!!
