  1. Agreed. We have that problem with our engineering staff here where I work. They have talent, but no practical experience. I tell them all the time that while they are busy trying to re-invent the wheel, they would do well to remember that the diploma they earned from college or trade school is a LEARNERS PERMIT, not a license that states they know everything... And I agree about the generational thing too. I'll be the first to admit that I can't do HALF of the stuff that the younger generations can do with computers. I'm just an analogue man in a digital world.
  2. That is just the kind of common sense solution to tech problems that we need MORE of in this country. But since the computer tells us its not possible, we sit on our hands and give up.....
  3. Really nice build Gregg!! I have this one in my stash. I plan to build it "Gas Monkey" style, Semi-gloss black paint, wide whites with chrome reverse rims, lowered with a slight rake, sbc with dual exhaust, disc brakes, stock interior. At least that's the plan... for now....
  4. Man!! you work FAST!! lovin the stance so far.
  5. Can't wait!!! Got all kinds of ideas!!!! This is gonna be COOL!!!
  6. Just completed another great trade with b-body fan (Mike Stevenson). Between us, we should open our own hobby shop!!! pleasure to trade with you Mike!!
  7. Ran into that on the bay too. It looks like a deal till you average in the shipping cost versus buying from say, Model Roundup. Depending on what you buy, Jack generally charges a flat 9.99 or so for shipping which is about right for where I live. But some of these characters charge more for shipping than the original purchase. I know that you can add your own filters for certain shipping costs, but it is getting alittle out of hand.
  8. Thanks for the reply. I really enjoyed his builds. I figured the 1:1 cars would take the place of the models. That's OK. Glad to hear he's doing well.
  9. Good point!!! lol. I probably would try. Looks great.
