  1. Thanks Ben, that's it. Those Fotki website articles are great. There are several really good ones.
  2. Thanks everyone for the information. I think my best bet is the snap w900, unless the timing of the project works with the reissue of the Papa Truck. I plan to get a couple for a future bash project anyway, and I'd have a leftover rear end. It is too bad MMTA is gone, they had a number of great items.
  3. Is the snap w900 suspension molded to the frame or separate?
  4. Looking to update/correct the AMT T600A using Ken Smith's article (Car Modeler Jan 93). He suggested using the rear suspension from the AMT K100 Aerodyne, but that kit is hard to find/expensive, so I was wondering if I could use an air bag suspension from another easier to find or less expensive source. Your ideas, please. Revell snap w900 - cut it off the frame? Or an aftermarket resin source? Worst case, I guess I have time to wait until the Papa truck comes out again.
  5. That is just plain awesome!
  6. My first was the AMT T600A, got it from Kmart when I was in 5th grade. Painted it silver like the box art. A glue bomb, but I still have it, though it is in pieces in the parts bin. I just bought another sealed kit, have plans to build it with all the corrections needed for an accurate T600. It'll be a nostalgic build.
  7. For anyone else who is interested in a v12, Moluminum has one on the website now.
  8. Wow, this is amazing work. Keep it coming.
  9. Wow, a fleet with double eagle sleepers? Who woulda thought? Nice.
  10. Thanks, excellent examples. Really like the Terpening trucks.
  11. Oh those Western trucks are awesome, thanks! What a nice fleet. I checked them out, WDTC even has a photo gallery on their website, obviously a company that takes extreme pride in their trucks. I bet the drivers take a little more pride in what they do when they take more pride in what they drive, maybe not, but it can't hurt. The reason I was thinking about fleets was coming up with ideas for a future Prostar project, because out of the box, it builds into a truck with a upgraded interior and some atypical chrome, and it isn't a common o/o truck (maybe it is?). Thought it might make a nice upgraded fleet truck - though it wouldn't come close to a Western, TMC, etc. 379 or W900L, of course.
  12. Most fleet trucks tend to have the reputation of being plain jane, not that there is anything wrong with that. It makes sense from a money standpoint. Owner operators are usually the ones to order the high end specs and even dress them up afterwards, but I'm sure there are plenty of upscale fleets out there. I can think of TMC, their fleet of black and chrome trucks are are nicer than the average basic, run of the mill look. I'd post a pic when I get a chance. Any others?
  13. That is really a unique and cool project. Great weathering.
  14. Nice. I'll pick one up. I've always been a fan of "everyday" cars as models.
  15. Awesome! Another one they should have made into a kit.
  16. Great start, looking forward to seeing the complete project. Really cool big bunk coe.
  17. That is really cool. Yes, tell us more about the sign please.
  18. Ok, ya got me. How'd you do the parking lot pic?
  19. That's... Awesome!
  20. Absolutely amazing. What an army of support the operation demands. I have the utmost respect for all who are involved.
  21. He was trying to get a laugh. Worked for me. I laughed real good. Probably also to make a point that they keep making the same old stuff.
  22. A modern spread axle flat sounds like a good choice to me. People like the idea of being able to change up visible and interesting loads. Universal appeal.
