  1. I ordered directly from CTM's website. It was pretty easy. Just download the excel order form and type in it to fill it out, save it to your computer then send it as an attachment to CTM in an email. They send you a Paypal payment request, and there you go. Really prompt service and shipping. The photo etched items are of the absolute best quality and detail.
  2. Oh boy, I've ordered several of CTM's products already, I can't wait for these releases! Sooooooooo awesome! Thank you CTM!!!
  3. Just came across a 1/87 scale 1977 Country Squire wagon on Shapeways by a guy named rapidpro. Wonder if it could be printed in 1/25? Then, it could be used to convert & cast a wagon from Missing Link... Hmmm, maybe I'm just dreaming again.
  4. Yes, best wishes for your recovery. We understand.
  5. Wow Wow Wow. I'm really impressed. Keep it up!
  6. Interesting info on a often overlooked part, thanks
  7. The Italeri 377 has a Detroit Series 60.
  8. Impressive build and a really neat diorama scene.
  9. Excellent weathering, Excellent details, Excellent assembly. Nice display base, too.
  10. I recieved my conversion parts today... Very Nice! Thanks Terry!
  11. Great work, welcome to the forum. The Cat is much better than the kit Cummins.
  12. Ya know KJ, I'd think there'd be a market for a 3406e/C15 conversion kit. Valve cover, timing cover, etc. to convert the old 3406 into a modern version "E". You could call it a yellow engine "E" upgrade kit.
  13. Funny, modelers have been painting non-Cat engines yellow for years. Now Cat is doing it too.
  14. Interesting, what is under the hood of the Cat versions?
  15. Just ordered a Prostar with the promo. Thanks for the info, JT!
  16. Really good information. I'll probably get both eventually, but I'm now thinking I may pick up a Prostar first. Thanks
  17. Looking forward to the dually fenders, Danny. Along with your wheels and the MCG p/e set it'll make quite the model.
  18. I thought both came with the same engine and transmission, the maxxforce 15/eaton autoshift, can anyone confirm this?
  19. Thanks for the info, I may go with the Lonestar to start, probably get both kits eventually. CTM makes a etched detail set for both, and someone makes a flame mask for the Lonestar, I'll have to track that down.
  20. Great to hear! Thanks for letting us know, I'll have to check it out.
  21. Anyone build both trucks and prefer one over the other as far as the building experience goes? I have read that these are both great kits. Moebius has done a great job bringing two modern trucks to the market. I was wondering, from a builder's perspective, is there a difference? Parts fit, accuracy, etc. I've read that the Prostar's tilting bumper and cab fit to chassis can be a minor issue. Also, should I look for the Revell edition? The instructions and decals may be better, I've been told.
  22. What an interesting ambulance, and a great project.
  23. I removed the forward rear axle, but I used the differential from that axle on the rear, filling the driveshaft hole on the back. Yes, the frame extention is only on the back, so I didn't have to cut the original frame to add a scale 24' motorhome box behind the cab. Thanks everyone for the encouragement.
