Fantastic high quality build!
-
Great looking kit & wonderfully finished... bet the transkit was costly!
-
Thanks for the additional remarks! Very kind. The plates were just printed onto photopaper on an inkjet printer and hand coated with humbrol gloss. The kit is a Tamiya, I've attached a small box cover photo... I'm 5 foot 10, so not too tall, and it's OK to drive, however, the Continuously Variable Gearbox is a bit strange...

Neat Car, looking forward to it!

I started this kit about 2 years ago, and am nearly finished, I will post some in-progress pics. It is a neat little kit, very simple, but at times frustrating. It's my first 1:32 kit, I normally find 1:24 a bit too mall and fiddly, but these smaller kits are obviously worse... Box art: Roll cage - sprayed with primer white & hand painted with acrylic clear. it was a little like painting glue, very messy... I cut the panel behind the grill off, to add photo etch later I filed off the seat belt, and many sanding / priming cycles later, I sprayed with Tamiya flat red & then flocked the inside of the seat. Interior done - sprayed with various Tamiya Acrylics Wheels completed with a compass cutter and tamoya masking, the alloys were alclad II, my first use of this stuff. Chassis assembly complete: Body sprayed with multiple light coats of Tamiya Gun metal grey, and masked for white. White applied using skull white from a can My first successful attempt at spraying with 2K (after messing up my Ferrari 250 LM), quite pleased with this job. shown with the black window surround and BMF details Now time for the Photo etch...

started this build about 1 year or so ago. It was for a group build, the deadline was fast approaching, and I screwed up the gloss on the finish coat, and it has been dead ever since. I'm reviving it now, so posting the kit contents and the look I was going for (road going version). It's a very basic kit,so the body and interior have to be top notch...

Ahh, OK, I don't remember the police force in that film!

Lovely car, great build! -
Not so rare kits, they oftern sell in the UK for £15 I have 1 in the stash, but too scared to touch it!

Looking good so far!

So this is a build of my mother's actual car, the colour is a bit off, I used a Halfords spray can, polished with nail polish blocks (i.e. not too shiny) OK, so it's not as interesting as a Ferrari, or a muscle car, but, I do like to build these everyday sort of cars... Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind comments guys, and the never ending lines on this kit were decals that came with the kit. It was one of those 3 in 1 kits. I would normally do the street racer version, but it was a tad boring! Here's the box art...

Hi All, I've been a member since 2013, but not posted a topic. I've got 3 cars on the go right now in various states of completeness, I've not finished a car in over 2 years! So I'm trying to get back in the groove and get some motivation. I'll be posting my WIP builds soon. For now, I thought I would start to upload some of my previous work. This car is not my favourite type of car, but I loved the build. The only extra details were seatbelts, buckles and door locks. it was airbrushed with an acrylic designed for fabrics - which was kind of purple / gold pearlescent finish, it doesn't show in the pics. Then finished with hand painted Future, which gives it a satin sheen, I didn't like it and wont be using it again... Enjoy the pics, some of you may have seen them on another forum...
