  1. Thanks Dennis! Still got a ways to goon some stuff, but I'm still enjoying this kit.
  2. Well... That's different J.T.! I'm usually stealing your ideas! Thanks for the compliments, they really help me to keep going.
  3. Won't be cutting the roof. I'd have to repaint the cab and all. Thanks for the compliment on it!
  4. I don't know... I've never seen any vents. The only thing I've seen are the sidebox doors. Thanks for the compliment! COOOOOLLLL!!! I definetely appreciate it!
  5. Yup... Gotta add the parts before ya can tell what it is... Yours looks great my friend. EXCELLENT WORK!!!
  6. Here are some pics for the interior that I took... Here's the dash. You can see the CD in the disc player, the sunglasses on the dash, The Qualcomm to the right, 3 CD's on the seat in CD cases, the GPS sitting on the dash next to the steering wheel need to finish detailing it), and the switch for the shifter in white (need to paint it), just underneath the top of the shifter I corrected the 1/4 fenders to where they are supposed to be. In the spot the instructions have them mounted, they are too far forward. They fit perfectly in the spring hanger. (Matt- The box to the left is the APU...) Here is the cooling fan for the APU.
  7. Some trucks in the U.S. have APU's. The truck that I had had one installed. The electronics under the bunk are tied into the small diesel engine mounted on the frame, which is a reefer engine (the APU I had was made by Thermo King). The engine mounted to the frame is the only engine for the APU, there is no engine under the bunk.
  8. The GPS and Qualcomm is scratchbuilt, the rest is photoetched parts I bought years ago. The APU sits on the frame on the left side of the truck. There is a fan that sits on the back of the cab that keeps the diesel motor cool. There is the A/C unit inside the cab that is run by the diesel that is underneath the bunk, but since the bunk won't be able to lift on the kit it would be useless for me to add all the details for it. The 1:1 ProStar has a couch that folds out into a bed. The truck I drove didn't have the couch option, just an upper and lower bunk. Asking questions is not being a pain. I'm happy to answer any question I can.
  9. No pizza boxes Keone. I kept the truck pretty clean. I never had a dog in the truck either. Kinda wish I did have a dog though...
  10. WOW Brizio!!! That came out AWESOME!!! You di the original proud my friend!
  11. I didn't get to order it... I had to go in person to get instructions on some very important and dangerous parts. They told me to make sure I paid attention to what they were saying and something or other, I didn't quite know what they were blabbing about or other...
  12. Yup... I had to wait an hour while they filled Wile E. Coyote's order first...
  13. No problem! I've been busy adding other little details to the interior. Sunglasses to the dash, keys to the ignition, C.D's in cases sitting on the passenger seat, C.D. in the stereo, GPS on the dashboard, Qualcomm on the passenger side, shifter switch, seat organizer, map book for the seat organizer, hangers hanging from the passenger closet... I know there's something else I'm forgetting. I'll post pics of the mess (I guess that's why they call the PE parts, "interior junk" ) I really appreciate the help and parts you've given me! I have nothing to complain about!!!
  14. Thanks Matt! The truck had a APU (Alternate Power Unit) installed on the truck. It's like a reefer unit installed on the truck itself so it saved fuel not haveing to idle... Which companys get touchy about. The proStar was a nice driver, but if you've ever driven a Volvo 780, that beat the International hands down for a smooth riding truck!
  15. I was wondering how this was going. It looks awesome Tom!
  16. I've seen a few in my travels driving truck. Never really looked at them though. T.J., I always thought they looked like an old steam powered locomotive...
  17. Thanks John! Your comment is appreciated!!!
  18. Thanks Brizio! I'm still looking forward to the updates on your Janis Joplin Porsche!
  19. Yeah, I saw that. The storm changed directions and missed Chicago. That storm was the one that caused massive amounts of hail damage in Nebraska and Iowa.
  20. Thanks Pat! It was surprisingly easy to build, and the photo etched parts are really nice! Definitely worth the money.
  21. Very true Joe! It won't even have a spot of dust afterwards! Daisy will be setting the table, and uncle Jesse will be making homefries and eggs for breakfast... at 120 MPH!!!
  22. We're supposed to get some rough weather here in west central Mo. today... and tomorrow... and the next day... and the next day... and the... you get the picture. Yes Joe, that made perfect sense. Trying to get your 200 washed is like Clark W. Griswold planning the perfect vacation...
  23. Oh my lord J.T.! Even your "just for fun builds" are amazing! Nice work my friend!!!
  24. I got the slot ground out, hopefully it won't be a problem. Still working on the interior... I need to make a few small things to add... This may take awhile.
  25. Thanks Skip, but if I try to take some outside pics right now, it'll still be "flash" photography... There's a thunderstorm coming this way. Besides the model will get wet, and then Harry will ask where is the Bat deflector shield, and then we have to explain to Harry all over again... My head hurts just thinking about it!
