  1. Glad to here you're okay Bill!!! This is a nightime video I shot in Joplin Mo. in 2010. You can hear the golfball sized hail hitting the car. Fortunately I didn't lose any windows. The hail starts at 3:00 minutes in, and the larger hail starts at 5:00 minutes in. You can actually see some of the hail coming down in front of the car...
  2. Just checked it out Ben and it looks great so far! Hopefully you'll be able to post it on here soon.
  3. Bummer that you can't get pics posted here Ben. I will definitely have to check out the website.
  4. Don't ya dare trash it!!! If'n ya do, I'm gonna conjure up Janis Joplin ta come HAUNT YA!!! Definitely watching this build! It's looking awesome!
  5. Nice conversion! You did an excellent job swapping the roofs. This is gonna be worth the effort you're putting into it!
  6. Joplins new Mercy hospital. Will it survive a tornado? http://news.yahoo.com/joplins-extreme-efforts-to-tornado-proof-new-hospital-222058695.html
  7. All I can say is ouch Bill. I've been hit by some hail, and it is not fun. I hope you made it okay with no serious damage!
  8. Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of the EF5 that hit Joplin Mo. A total of 161 people lost their lives that day.
  9. Cool Ben!!! I just looked through to see if you had started a post, but didn't find one. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you do on yours! It seems like the ProStar is the truck model of choice lately. They've been popping up all over the truck forum. I'm hopeing Moebius does another truck kit... I would love to see a kit of a 379 XL done by them. THAT would be cool! Enjoy building the ProStar and let me know when you've started posting!!!!!!!
  10. Thanks J.T. I've been having some small problems with this kit, and I've noticed a few things that are not close to correct (the quarter fenders are WAY too far forward!). Other than that, I wouldn't mind having about 4 more of these to work on and customize. I've already compleated the fan that attaches to the back of the cab. I got lucky finding the tiny fan on the APU, and the larger fan on the sleeper wall. I'm in the process of doing the interior, and adding the little details to it. By the way J.T., I almost forgot to say thank you to you for the help with the stretch! If it hadn't been for you I wouldn't have known where to cut and add. Thank you again!!!
  11. That's going to be a really cool looking build Tom! The color is outstanding! Can't wait to see what you do on the trailer!!!
  12. Looks really awesome! You're doing a spectacular job on this!
  13. It's a BIG difference between the two! I've had a few difficulties between the two, and had to make some modifications, but it's been a great build.
  14. Here's 5 more: A BIG thank you goes out to Keone2013 for the DOT tape! Thank you so much my friend!!! Let me know what you think...
  15. Here's the updated photo's I added an APU to the truck. My 1:1 had one so I figured... More to come...
  16. Been doing some work on this since I was on here last, should have an update soon.
  17. WOW!!! Like, TOTALLY dude! Amazing work on the paint. This is gonna look great when it's finished!
  18. That's sad to hear. I met him on sa as well, and he was one of the people you could ask questions and he was happy to reply. My condolences to his family and his friends, we will miss him...
  19. Always been a big fan. Especially of his road movies.
  20. Actually Harry, I'm not providing a forecast, I'm making mention that my area has a prediction for inclimate weather. This is my version of the "S word post". I'm interested in weather reports from where everyone is located, and to let everyone know about being safe. I don't want to lose any friends on here that I might have been able to direct to safety. I've been a spotter for the National Weather Service since 1999, and my main goal is to save lives, not to make a half and half prediction. People constantly ignore sirens, never watch the news, never even turn on a radio during tornadic weather, and end up being killed. I've seen videos where people drive right into tornadoes not realizing there is one there. If I can help a few people save their lives by letting them know about tornado safety, then I can breath a sigh of relief... I'll bet not too many people know that Bing Crosby's real name is Harry Lillis Crosby, Jr.
  21. Wednsday and Thursday possible hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. Keep watch for dangerous weather in the midwest.
  22. I know what you mean Ray... These are 53 foot Schneider trailers being tossed around like toys in Dallas Tx. in 2012: And the aftermath... SCARY!
  23. Sorry to hear that Wayne! It's hard to lose a friend. You definitely have my condolences. The tornado that hit Joplin broke records. I lived there from 2003 until 2011, and moved out a couple of months before the tornado. A total of 161 people died as a result, and I knew 48. A lot of them were close friends, and it hurts to know when I couldn't help them.
