  1. Eaton-Fuller 10 speed. I don't know if it is the same, I need to check on that.
  2. I wish I could my friend, I wish I could...
  3. I need to add a mount to the ProStar, but the antenna I had was the round dome.
  4. Well... now when I see ya tooling down the road I'll wave and yell IT'S THE GREAT PUMPKIN CHARLIE BROWN!!!
  5. It's Dupli-Color Bermuda Blue Metallic. I picked it up at Autozone. I need to get some more when the roads defrost. My truck didn't have the MCP200 in it. It had the older model Qualcomm. I'm gonna add several little things to the interior that were in the truck, and add a bunk instead of the couch. Werner would never splurge for a creature comfort like a couch...
  6. Getting ready to start the engine. I gotta look up some reference material to see how hard it would be to convert it to a Cummins...
  7. Nice! I'm building one like that, that I had when I was younger. It had Ansen wheels, but it was a medium metallic green '68. Yours looks great, I just hope mine comes out as nice!
  8. Nice job! I've never had the pleasure (?) of building the Freightliner cabover, but it looks like you did an excellent job on it!
  9. Well dagnabbitt J.T.... I posted on your build in "under construction", and ya already had it finished! I can't keep up with ya!!! It really looks great! You did an excellent job on it, and I like the use of the Revell decals on it! Keep up the good work my friend!!!
  10. Why does this remind me of the cartoons I used to watch as a kid back in the '70s? You know... The cartoon car that was so tired it collapsed? All the guy needs to add is a large tongue hanging out of the grill...
  11. Looks awesome J.T.! The ramp bed is really a great looking build. Are you gonna add a race truck to it, or are you going to surprise us?
  12. Oh believe me J.T., The length is an offense to the eye. I noticed AMT's T-600 had the same problem, only worse. I figured the length of the sleeper on this kit was a little longer than my 1:1 was. Yeah, a 1/2 inch should do it. I may still do it myself. You're right though... Even though this kit has a few small quirks, I'm still as excited as ever to build it (and truth be known, I love to modify kits ). The build is at a slight standstill for the moment... The weather has turned a bit cold for painting (the temps have not been over 30 degrees for the last several days, and it snowed 2" night before last). We are expecting winter weather and cold temps for another week. I guess I will start on building something else on the truck...
  13. When I first bought a digital camera, it took me awhile to figure it out. When I did I was able to get really good closeups: Unfortunately the camera I had was lost. So now I'm starting all over again. I don't remember the settings, so I just have to start over again. When someone posts a pic that's out of focus, I won't criticize them. I've been there myself...
  14. Thanks Kostas! Hopefully it stays looking good and I don't goof something...
  15. I used a piece of blue painters tape to mark the edges. I laid the the tape on the fairing that is supposed to be rubber. I matched the tape edge to the scribed line on the outside, and then scribed a line on the inside. If I had to do it again(and I may still do it), I would use the scribe line on the outside of the fairings, and cut them completely off, and then either glue them back on after painting, or use some correct thickness rubber gasket material. For the life of me I couldn't figure out why they didn't have a line on the inside... The fairing edges were also sanded down on the back edges to a knife edge. The 1:1 rubber fairing are not the same thickness all the way across.
  16. The star of Ghostbusters, Stripes, and co-writer of Animal House has passed away at the age of 69. R.I.P. https://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-news/-ghostbusters--actor-harold-ramis-dies-at-69-173530161.html
  17. LOL!!! I thought about it, but then I thought NAH!!! I did cut in separtation lines on the inside the fairings, and sharpened the edges to correct the fairings...
  18. No kidding Tom! I got into a slump, and I just couldn't get out of it. I think the winter is the hardest time of all. Needing to paint bodies, and not being able to do it because it's too cold is a drag, and it just snowballs from there. Getting this new issue is also making it easier since it is different from anything I've ever built. And I've built a lot of models over 45 years...
  19. Sorry about not answering the first time Jonathan. It had a spot on the lower edge of the lower roof piece. I layed it on the cab, and eyeballed the parts, and then used a sanding stick to even it out. you have to use the old take a little off at a time, and then test fit it again and again... A pain, but it works!
  20. Thanks Ben. I looked it up and it looks like it might fit my needs. Appreciate the help!
  21. Thanks everyone. The temp outside is a bit cold to paint, so the truck cab won't get painted today. I did get the panel line filled in and ready though, so I'm happy about that. I found out why the wheelbase looks so messed up J.T. It seems that Moebius modeled this kit from the redesigned 2013 ProStar. I'm building a copy of the truck I drove, which is a 2012 ProStar... There is a vent between the hood, and the doors that make the cab 3 to 4 scale inches longer, and pushes the cab back as well. it looks as the the sleeper is longer too, but I don't have the measurements to compare. I was wondering, how much difference is there between the maxxforce and a Cummins? The truck I drove had a Cummins. Can I just paint it red and get away with it, or do I need to do a complete overhaul of the engine?
