  1. Looks awesome Hakan!
  2. Looks like the new paint color is an exact match for Werner Blue! I'm definitely happy with it! Here's the painted cab: Here is a comparison: Just need to gloss coat it next... Let me know what you think.
  3. I'm gonna give painting a try today. Hopefully the weather will hold out. Local for me is 70 miles away... As far as I know, Werner Blue is a custom color. So I'm gonna cross my fingers and hope that the metallic blue is close...
  4. Like Travis said, take your time. Almost everything needs to be modified to build it as real as possible. The one thing that got me was the truck having two shifters... I changed afew things on the one I built for a lady truck driver, but I didn't do a complete remake.
  5. This is the GM light blue metallic compared to the Bermuda blue... Let me know what you think...
  6. Sorry Matt... I wasn't able to paint the cab yet. And to make matters more difficult, the paint I told you about is no longer available... It turns out that when I bought the can of Bermuda blue, it had already been discontinued. I don't know if I have enough to paint the cab, which means I may have to repaint the whole truck in a diiferent light blue. I picked up a couple of cans of DupliColor/GM Light Blue Metallic. It's a little darker, but it might just work for Werner blue. I'll keep you updated...
  7. It looks great! I built one but I never added any decals to it. I never finished this one either...
  8. Don't you know it! Got the lines that I wanted to putty up done, and now it's ready to paint. Unfortunately I have an appointment with a CT scan 70 miles away this morning... If the weather holds out tomorrow I'll be painting it up.
  9. WOW!!! You've done an excellent job on this build! I am stunned and amazed at the quality of work you do!!!
  10. Revell/Monogram is coming out with a 1/16th scale Hawaiian funny car this year, # 85-4082
  11. Still working on puttying the cab and sleeper. Monday will be 70 out, but I have a doctors appointment in the afternoon. Tuesday will be great for painting at 73 degrees. Tuesday night and Wednsday we are supposed to get snow...
  12. Looks great. I need to pick up one of those pro modeler kits and see if I can find someone who makes a 71 conversion parts. Keeping an eye on this build!!!
  13. Nice! That is coming out really good looking, especially in black.
  14. Ya "squeeked" by on that one Tom...
  15. DANG Tom! I wish I had thought of that. I'd probably wouldn't be feeling as much of old age as I do now, AND, I could've started some fool... I mean kid on a career path to being a stunt man when he grew up!!!
  16. Sorry Greg, but that was cooler than cool!!! That was defintely worth watching. It reminded me of those domino set ups, but with a really wild twist!!!
  17. I remember the time that I broke the leash on a surfboard. I decided to wait until the next day to purchase a new one. I got out into the wave sets, and on the very first one, I caught a beautiful 6 foot curl. The wave was closing out, so I decided to shoot the board off the peak of the wave. I dove in, and resurfaced, looked around, and couldn't find the board. About a half a second later, I was seeing stars. The board dropped out of the sky, and the skeg(the fin on the back of the board), smacked me on the head... I calmly paddled to shore, packed my gear, and headed straight to the surf shop to buy a new leash.
  18. Glad to hear from you Clay!!! I'd been wondering how you were doing, and hoping that everything has been good for you and your family. Pop in here evry now and then and let us know what's new.
  19. I have no idea why mine climbed so good. I could have 40,000 on board, and I would pass O/O's going up(unless they were real light or empty, then I'd have to call the company to get the decals replaced...).
  20. Only if they have a fund raiser for me...
  21. My biggest wipe out would have to be the time I was riding my BMX bike through the city park. They had a rose garden that had a dirt path that ended at a set of steps. Right before the steps it dipped down, and when you lifted the bike, you could get into the air about 8 feet. At the bottom of the steps, was solid concrete. I peddled the bike as fast as I could, hit the dip, flew into the air like an eagle, and then watched the front tire fall off in mid air... The landing was NOT pretty...
  22. Yup... But I think we were trying to impress the girls with the notion of "let's see if I can do something really stupid, and then show the ladies how cool I was to get up and walk away...
  23. You didn't happen to live in the San Clemente area by any chance did you? I had 2 friends who sat on the back window frame as I drove. It was either a Plymouth Duster or Dodge Demon I was driving...
  24. I did like the Cummins I had in it. It climbed really well. But I do agree that they could've been considerate and turned the truck up... 62 was just too slow.
