  1. King Richard has lost his queen. My condolences to his family... http://www.wyff4.com/sports/nascar-legend-richard-pettys-wife-dies/25160728?absolute=true
  2. Looks great Chuck! Looking forward to seeing more.
  3. It's better to paint the light color(white) first, then the dark(red). It prevents the red bleeding through the white. You can make stencils with the decals onto blue painters tape, or find different paint. It is a pain to find matching paint right off the bat, but you might get lucky. Sounds like you're off to a great start! Looking forward to seeing pictures when you get a chance!!!
  4. Thank you for posting that! I remember the ad now, the Super Stones go cart brought it back. Those are really cool, and when you start on those, I want to see the builds!
  5. I remember the Ford F-150, and the Ford Courier, but hearing that there is a van surprised me! Post that ad, I'd like to see the pics of all three!!!
  6. Thank you Gordon! I thought the first paint was a great match, but they didn't make it anymore. The new color was found by accident, and it is a whole lot better! I'm seriously glad I found it!!! Thanks again!
  7. I just bought the Revell snap Pete. I'm seriously thinking about it. I just need to find someone who makes the correct sleeper in resin(too expensive to buy a Italeri 377 just for the sleeper), and find the roof cap. The hood wouldn't be too hard to modify(famous last words...). I'll let you know whats up.
  8. Thanks Sean! I'm enjoying this build, although I'm taking my time on it.
  9. That makes 3 of us Sean... I modified the truck for posable steering.
  10. That's a great idea John, using 2 visors. I never thought of that. Mind if I borrow the idea?
  11. The cab work looks really good. Are you going to fill in the sidebox opening, or keep it? And are you going to do a smooth look, or add rivet details? I went for the smooth look with the extra sidebox filled in.
  12. It would be somewhat easy to build the first truck I ever drove for Werner. It was a '99 379 Peterbilt. I miss driving those...
  13. And of course, right when you need something important too!!! LIKE A BEER!!!
  14. Snow coming here today and tonight... I'm ready to go storm chasing!
  15. Thanks J.T. We only have a a small Dollar General here. I went out yesterday to the local NAPA Auto Parts to get a bulb for the interior of my car at 3 in the afternoon, and they were already closed... The motto in this tiny burg is, "If you can't find it, ya shoulda got here EARLIER!!!"
  16. Got the cab glosscoated. It's a little shinier then a normal Werner truck, but I like it.
  17. Cool Tom! I like the color combo you've chosen!
  18. Looks awesome John! After I get my ProStar finished, I need to get back on my stretched 352. I had trouble with the decals, so I put it away until a later time. Keep up the great work, and I'm looking forward to seeing more!!!
  19. Yup, GM light metallic Blue. Thanks for the compliment Jim! Thanks Justin!
  20. Thanks Ben! I should have more soon, but for the next few days, I won't be able to paint. Forecast has rain and(GASP!) snow...
