Volvo VN670 and 53' Trailer
Custom Hearse replied to kilrathy10's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Looks great J.T.! I've been trying to find an Italeri VN770, but they are few and far between, and the prices are out of my price range. It's kind of a shame they didn't add an engine to the kit. That's interesting that the trailer is not correct. they need to correct that... -
I finally got one. I opened the box and felt that old feeling that I wanted to build something again. It's been a long time since I've built anything without losing interest in it. So far I've made a couple of corrections to the body and front bumper. I have a picture of the last truck I drove, and noticed some differences between the kit and 1:1. I've already got most of the truck cab painted, but still working on filling in some panel lines that weren't on my real truck. I'll post some pictures of the build in the morning, it's time for me to hit the hay.

Scale model inaccuracies
Custom Hearse replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'm working on a Moebius International ProStar, and so far, I've had to correct the door windows, a couple panel lines that are not on the actual truck, filled in 2 marker lights on the body, and completely redo the front bumper. I have to agree with Harry that it would be a lot more enjoyable if the kit was correctly designed to match the vehicle we try to model. Even though I've had to make the corrections on this kit, I'm still excited to build a copy of the last truck I ever got to drive... -

That was my fault Matija. I was not offended. I had mis-worded the original post. Please accept my apology. -
Looks great! That was one of my favorite kits to build when I was younger. Keep going, it's going together perfectly!!!

I put the TV on the channel for the Superbowl, but they were showing America's Funniest Home Videos... Hmmm... Maybe that was the Superbowl.

It's sad to see someone so talented die because of an addiction. I had only seen him in "Twister", and knew his work from that movie, but he was an excellent actor in it. R.I.P. Phillip Seymour Hoffman... -

Here in West central Missouri we got about a 1/4th to 1/2 inches of ice. Just helped a neighbor lady up after she slipped. Fortunately she wasn't hurt, just a little shaken up.

What she is asking is will you share your interest with her. She wants to be part of your life and to bond with you. It may not be the most exciting thing that you can think of, but to her, she loves to spend time with you and she wants to be part of your life...
