  1. Thank you Carl! I wasn't able to give it to her on her birthday, she was in Georgia scaring the 4 wheelers!
  2. Started this a month ago, and finally finished it tonight. A friend of mine who drives OTR likes the color pink, and drives a white Kenworth T series truck wondered what her truck would look like painted pink. The only kit I could find was the AMT/Ertl kit, which is a very messed up and VERY inaccurate kit. Reading the directions was probably the funniest part of the project! I have never seen a microphone cord that could defy gravaty before, but according to the picture, the C.B. installs upside down. And what is a Luberfinder? that's what it is called in the instructions... Anywho, with a little reworking, and a lot of detective work figuring out how the part is really supposed to attach, I have assembled the kit in time for her return and will present it to her for her birthday... Let me know what you think, and thanks for looking.
  3. I hauled square hay bales to a mushroom farm. They would push the hay off the truck, and spray it with different chemicals, including horse urine. A gas mask was a good thing to carry in the truck!
  4. Nice work Peter! I have a project that I need to redo that uses a 60's roof on a 40's car. Yours came out beautifully!
  5. Looks awesome Peter! I was wondering where you dissappeared to. Looking forward to more of your builds, and your announcment sometime soon. I wish you the best of luck in your business adventure!
  6. I would like to see the California Street 'Vette re-issued. That is the only kit I would really really want!
  7. Looks to be a reissue of the old Revell California Roller multipiece body kit...
  8. These are looking awesome Brett! You're doing a great job recreating these cars in scale!!!
  9. The idea of adding the '55 fenders is brilliant! I will definitely follow this build!!!
  10. You're welcome Matt. I started in '96, and I've seen a lot of changes that make me wonder what happened to proffesional courtesy. I would only turn my C.B. on long enough to find out information on interstate and highway backups. Other than that, I would just listen to the stereo... Hope you got your truck back okay, and if you are ever running through here, give me a call.
  11. These are gonna be awesome! Definitely going to be watching these builds!!!
  12. You're a certified wacko Doc... WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!! This will certainly be an interesting project! I can't wait to see more!!!
  13. I love what you've done on hinging the hood! The bodywork looks great!!!
  14. Thank you J.T.! I'll try to post more often.
  15. Thanks Robert! I'll have to order those. Appreciate the the help, and the links!
  16. Do you have a link for them Robert? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
  17. He wrote many intriguing novels in his lifetime. R.I.P. http://news.yahoo.com/best-selling-author-tom-clancy-died-age-66-152101522.html
  18. These decals came with the new re-issue of the Round 2 Peterbilt 352...
  19. Nope... The ones you sent me, and the ones that came with the kit both cracked and fell apart. I still appreciate that you sent them though.
  20. I tried to add the Bicentennial decals yesterday, but they disintegrated in the water... So now I'm trying to decide if I will paint stripes, or order some that are not from Round 2...
  21. Wow... People with attitudes such as yours give the trucking industry a bad name. You have no right to tell people how to drive. And the way you worded the last sentence sounds like a threat. In the fifteen years I drove, I know a lot of times I did not drive completely legal all the time, but I guarantee that I NEVER treated other drivers with such disrespect. You need to look in the mirror sometime and think about how you are part of the career that keeps the world going, and that you are no better than anyone else...
  22. Twice now I've tried to use the decals from 2 different kits (the stripes from the '74 Daisy's Road Runner, and the Peterbilt 352 Pacemaker), and both sets cracked and fell apart. They feel like they're brittle and stiff and they won't bend around small bumps and bends. Does anyone else have problems like this?
