  1. As the lower control arms are reattached, they are made visually correct, removing the donor kits extra bars (as shown), and mounting tabs constructed & attached to rails Rear suspension tower modified & used Renovated chassis shown compared to donor (unmodified) body, and difference in dimension (length) More renovations to accuracy of chassis & suspension, the enclosed rear lower control arms, out board LCA mounts & front subframe base plate
  2. Measuring up the donor kit components, oddly the body is undersized (is really 1/25 scale) the kit wheels are slightly over sized for 1/24 scale? So these will be left as is for our renovation into a full detail 1/24 A visual comparison between the donor Daytona Coupe body (measures as 1/25 scale) and a 1/24 S/C Cobra body, notice the difference in wheelbase measures, is about 5mm difference Okay, so decided that this is going to be constructed to proper 1/24 scale dimensions, we begin by lengthening the chassis (and slightly wider too) As the lower control arms are reattached, they are made visually correct, removing the donor kits extra bars (as shown), and mounting tabs constructed & attached to rails

  13. Been measuring the donor kit body, and as suspected it's not 1/24 scale, as Gunze has marked on packaging, but in fact 1/25 scale WB = 2286.0mm (90.0") @ 1/24 scale = 95.25mm @ 1/25 scale = 91.44mm Gunze = 91.0mm L = 4216.4mm (166.0") @ 1/24 scale = 175.7mm @ 1/25 scale = 168.7mm Gunze 167.0mm W = 1778.0mm (70.0") @ 1/24 scale = 74.1mm @ 1/25 scale = 71.1mm Gunze = 71.5mm
