Porsche 944 & 944 turbo Convertible - Italeri
Jeremy Jon replied to christian-w's topic in Model Cars
Nice pair of builds, well done! IMO a little wash in the panel gaps would help the yellow car, but very nice work as is!- 27 replies

Interesting build, very nicely executed, very 'Road Warrior' style, just needs the on/off switch for the blower! LOL

Very cool project Kenny, I've never seen the Callaway Sledgehammer in scale/kit form before? Keep up the great work! -

Ford's getting some bad media lately about the EcoBoost engine's not being as efficient as advertised? that seems to me being a matter of "how you drive it", as anyone who's owned a turbo charged engine can tell you, that if you are aggressive driver, just as with any engine really, the fuel consumption goes up That being said, if you can control yourself, and drive normally most of the time, then turbo charged engines can amaze you with the low fuel consumption possible, yet available power for when you want it Two of the best cars I have ever owned, were not the V8 engine cars I've had, but rather were 4 cylinder turbo cars, a 1980 mustang (which got a t-bird turbo EFI engine swap), and SRT4, both capable of putting a smile on my face

GM LS 4th Gen V12 ?
Jeremy Jon replied to Jeremy Jon's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Here's a couple links I found http://www.enginelabs.com/news/the-ls12-inside-scoop-on-the-v12-ls-engine/ http://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids/1643786-v12-ls1-build.html Corvette of course had a C4 test mule with a Falconer V12 some time ago, and more recently the Cadillac V16 version of the LS engine was in their show car 'Sixteen' -
The Story of DeLorean
Jeremy Jon replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Always been a fan of the looks, but that's about it, everything else under skin was disappointing, GVW was silly, and management histrionics killed it Taking a quick look, there are BttF scale models, but not a stock OEM version, hm? As correctly stated, there is a North American company, which now owns the DMC name + logo, and rebuilds/restores DeLoreans, with many NOS parts even, some customized with more modern engines too -
Thanks guys more pics soon

Thanks Walter

Awesome work Joe, great details and workmanship, bravo!!! -
So while looking at some other cool seat designs to construct I found that a few manufacturers make a particular design which looks very similar between each ....this time I'm making up a digital design sheet for printing scale decals to match, but in the 4-5 different names which are applicable

Okay, so I was working on a scale front placement conversion of the 4th generation 'vette LS V8 drivetrain, and came across/inspired by this article about some guys making a LS V12 engine from couple of V8s ....it's even easier for us to do in plastic, and so I figured why not? How cool would a V12 LS hot rod be!? going to work on the block next, but otherwise should use all the same ancillaries, only manifolds to construct otherwise

Prepping resin parts for chrome plating
Jeremy Jon replied to Hawk312's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Can you prime the parts in lacquer first Dave? What does the plater advise as a base coat which you could apply? Also, can you (PM if desired) which company you're using, I've been looking for some plastic/resin chrome plating work to be done, thanks! -
I keep checking back, but nothing's come into that spot light yet?? LOL
-
Next to have them 3D printed !
