Definitely a venture into a seldom thought of area anymore-nice job with it.

Like everything about it. Those wheels kinda have that 'mob steel' look.

I haven't made a diorama yet even though it's something I've always wanted to do partially because of space, and also not knowing exactly what i wanted to build or replicate. Have to say I really like this idea-might be my first attempt.

I also started making the pockets for the bed rails to sit in and started the rails too. Lots left to do, but it's coming along. -

Thanks Tom-definitely 70's colors! I got some wheels, tires, and wheel covers from DRIPTROIT 71 to match and put a little black paint on them. -

Thanks guys-I appreciate it. Not too much done in the last couple days-a little foil and started assembling the engine. -

I did most of the prep work on the body two weeks ago with the cream color. We had a nice day last weekend and sprayed the burnt orange color. I got ahead of myself trying to hurry, and never taped the shape around the wheel wells-ugh. So after drying, I sanded and taped, and re-sprayed. -
I haven't posted in a while but I think this one will be worth sharing. I'm attempting to duplicate my Uncle Bill's 78 Ford pickup that he's owned since new. The Firestone kit is the basis of it, and yes I know that was more or less a heavy duty, extended wheel base, camper special-type; but you get the idea. It's not going to be 100% correct, just a gift that Uncle Bill will hopefully enjoy.

Same here Brian-thanks again!

Absolutely gorgeous! -
Thank you both.Yes Carl, it fit really well actually. There was a mounting pin on the transmission I removed to let it sit down on the crossmember, and other than that very light clearancing on the front edge of the Shaker to clear the top of the intake.

Thanks Dan-yes that's the kit.

A little bit of exhaust work tonight. Needed to lengthen the exhaust slightly because the manifolds on the modern Hemi sit a little more forward than the 426.I cut the extensions from the same diameter sprue and drilled and pinned them with some small styrene rod to keep them in place once I glued them. Thanks for looking!
